  1. www.thebartertown.net will e-mail you when something you searched for is posted! Without being a member. Best value on the Internet a little of craigslist, eBay, back page etc. all wrapped up in one. I would have paid for that service! I watched the video and it taught me a lot about direct mailers and prospects.

  2. The site was launched on October 14 on the first two weeks it logged over 6000 visitors over 453 posts over 1100 searches and primary membership has increased since that date. Our estimates are that this number will double every two weeks due to public demand, quality of product and cost for advertisement is cheaper than anything out there.

  5. So if you can't find an item or service on any site usually you would have to go back to that site and keep looking until it's posted. WWW.THEBARTERTOWN.NET actually keeps every search and will e-mail it to you as it is posted!

  6. Craigslist charges $50 to post a job in most states and their charges brought to $600 and beyond! For more services you can go to www.thebartertown.net for free or premium one-year membership unlimited posts with all the extras, this is a no-brainer to enhance your current product or service.

  7. Someone searches for a service or item on the www.thebartertown.net site for example; January with no result. someone comes along in October and posts what the previous searcher was looking for, it will then be e-mailed directly to the searcher from January! No other site in the world does this is very convenient for people looking for specific items, collectibles, Christmas shopping, birthday shopping or promoting their small business.

  9. We've had a huge response over the last couple of days! People can't get over how if they post in the " jobs " category it's $30 per year instead of $25 per ad like on craigslist. www.thebartertown.net

  11. Over the past three days Scott and thebartertown.net have managed to bring over 300 people together for buying, selling and trading this is amazing only being open for 21 days. We can't believe no one else thought of the trade and e-mail system we implemented on this site amazing! It keeps bringing people back whom have searched on this site in the past! We estimate over the next six months to have over 100,000 people buying and selling daily along with trading. Premium memberships are only $30 for less service you can pay craigslist per ad $25 which will not match former researchers to what you just posted and a whole lot more! Not to mention the fact that your items, services etc. are searchable on Google, Yahoo etc. thanks everyone!

  13. Recent interview with local folks, Scott Lubik
Many enhancements this week! Most of the people who are posting our real estate agents. Lots of services and jobs as well. The site has been open since October 14, 2010 and has had thousands and thousands of visitors! This site is unique because if someone searches it will save that person's information and then get back to them once the item or service has posted! Pretty incredible says creator Scott Lubik "and it's just going to get better and better this is a service that people need and everyone can afford! With sound concepts behind it based on performance time-tested from other sites it can't fail!

  14. The rotating feature of your ad on our front page is very important! If you have ever used craigslist you'll understand what I'm talking about. This site really revolutionizes the way people buy sell and trade!

We find it easy getting people to the home page but the key is the flow from the first page, retaining to the second third fourth etc. ultimately leaving in a premium membership sale.

Actual numbers from Google analytics October14 2010 to December 7, 2010

6412 people hit the home page. 470 hit the second page/began to post. This is an average of 7%. For one or 11 people which is 87% of the 470 continued on to “ choose visibility” page. 314 people which is 76% of the 470 continued on to the options page. 185 people 59% of the 470 continued on to the special offer page. 11 people continued which is 6% to the subscription/annual subscription which resulted in 19 sales.

Goal: retain 25% from first page to the second page of posting process.

Action plan: 1) entice potential posters by offering an Apple ipad on hook page, second page and choose your visibility page.

Shorten the hook and stay consistent with e-mail campaign penetration. Minimum outgoing e-mail campaigns shall be 100,000 opt in e-mails per week.

  19. Notes; first day for eye contact Google analytics/test one day December 8, 2010 funnel effect/ 201 people went to the home page, 38 people went to page 2 and started to post. 19% retained up from an average of 7%. Choose visibility page retained 68% which is dramatically increased. 100% retained two options page. 100% retained to special offer. Looks like all changes our success. Do not change anything we’ve done.

  20. Notes; yesterday December 9, 2010 we had 419 people come to our home page. 56 of those people proceeded to post items which is a retention of 13% which is up from the average of seven. The figure IS double. Perceiving onto page 2 of the posting process, we maintained 88% which is 49 people. The visibility page maintained 80% of the 419 original, this is 39 people which then went on to post their ads. I contact has successfully brought 174 people back to the site. That needs to be factored in as well. we had a large number of people post but for some reason no one paid for premium ads? Is that because of the news with China? People getting ripped off? Or is that because our advertisement was based around the I-PAD giveaway? Maybe people thought we were just trying to get their money? Regardless numbers don’t lie will proceed today as planned with minor to no changes.

  21. Notes; adding an voiceover to the home page. Hired Internet jockey.com, used a female voice very nonthreatening and professional. Notes, the average attention span before a bounce is approximately 5 seconds so this will autoplay as soon as someone hits the site. This will reduce bounce and increase posts and surface. This will be the only changes for our December 10 advertisement campaign.

  22. notes; December 10-Day week 1 ending Friday the 18th, great day today 550 people hit the home page. according to Google analytics out of the 550 we had 60 people go to the second page of the posting area which is down from yesterday at 11%. This is probably due to i contact trickle off from the campaign started on the eighth. Out of those 60 people 90% perceive it to choose visibility page which equals 54 people. We lost 20% going to be options page. This will be fixed on Monday hopefully with a voice over explaining the differences and the complicating along with adding value to premium membership. 38 people went to the special offer page and posted. This is 100% from the options page so we need to insert something to keep people interested/let’s try voice over again.

Result to be measured every Friday moving forward.

Friday the 11th/summary of last week.; this week we did a lot of web development. While keeping costs low we switched gears on the hook, a Weber, voiceover and the deletion of the options page. The final and the flow through the site is much better now! This is definitely definitely a step in the right direction. No changes will be made this week moving forward except we will add a voiceover to the “ select your visibility page” because payment is off. The choice of free ads has risen, side note I think this is because the scare with China hacking and fraud all over the Internet/news.

  23. Notes; Monday the 12th 2010. Google analytics web development session. December 11/Sunday notes. 607 people went to the landing/homepage. Remember last week we installed a voice over two lower the bounce rate. 54 people which is 9% proceeded to post there item or service which is down from 11% on the 10th.? We changed nothing so we have to believe that it being Sunday factored in. From the 54 people that hit the second page 46 people proceeded which is 85% to the “choose your visibility” page. 29 people which is 63% proceeded to the options page which means we continually lose approximately 20% between these two pages which will be fixed today because we are going to add a voice over from Internet jockey.com. This will provide a sense of dealing with something new and exciting/makes them curious along with giving us the opportunity to upsell our product. I think when people go to pages where there are choices they tend to go with the cheapest one 90% of the time. This is because there was no value bill in the product. Lack of confidence and lack of fear of loss, hope for gain and something that will make them react like “ limited special offer, offered one time only” Can only be a step in the right direction. The fear of asking someone to buy has to be overcome! You have to ask people to spend money while building value but at the same time comforting them in making sure they don’t think they’re getting scammed! A prime example of a great site is the Go Daddy model! If you’ve ever tried to buy something off that site it asks you to spend hundreds of dollars! And people just wind up spending probably around $100 which believe me is outstanding! So having said that We are going to ad the voiceover to the “ choose your visibility page “ page 3, and see how it goes today. Give us some feedback after you hit the site and let us know please!

  24. Notes; Sunday the 12th results. Sunday the 12th results were pretty grim. Only 297 people came to our home page. We changed nothing so having much success with our current advertisement approximately 5 to 600 people daily come to our home page. Sunday probably fell prey to Christmas shopping. This is why traffic was light? Anyway 297 people hit the home page and only 10% which is 30 people proceeded to post. From that second page 27 people which is 90% calling America the visibility page. This has increased to a retention of 85% due to the voiceover I believe success! Remember consistently we lost 20% across-the-board between the choose your visibility page and the special offer page. Success at least even though low traffic trending in the correct direction.

Notes; 4 Monday the 13th results. Big day today 586 people came to our home page as usual! 47 only proceeded to post which is down to 7% disappointing. Side note this makes you on a cry! A week ago we were at 14%? Holiday?. Even more depressing 81% retention from page number two which is 35 people, by the way if this funnel doesn’t funnel down enough people we don’t make any money! Continue lol, but not really! So 57% of the people proceeded from the visibility page to the special offer page which is a loss of 24% which is up a little then one premium membership purchased! We are going to let this ride for approximately one week to make sure it’s not the holiday affecting our changes. Remember a fast move is a wrong move always that’s why we document all this. We can always roll back one thing at a time until we get the funnel all the traffic/money to make sense and become profitable again. Rome was not built in one day!!!
Post script; I hate the voiceover on the options page and want to spend another hundred and five dollars on the professional to redo it but just because I hated doesn’t mean your work?! Let’s wait a week.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Notes; Tuesday, December 14 results. 569 people came to our home page which is almost identical to the 13th. Thank God 11% proceeded it to the second page! This is up from 7% yesterday the 13th. Remember if no one goes to the post pages we make no money. So 11% which is 61 people perceive it to the second phase from the second page we retained 85% of his 52 people. These 52 people went to the choose your visibility page and we only lost from 61 people on page 2, down to 52 people which is only nine people clicked off! Way up from a loss of across-the-board 20%! We retained 67% total whom went on to post. That’s 35 people exactly. We change two things number one, I read did the voiceover on the “ choose your visibility page” I then installed a voiceover on the search side as well. This reminds people of the iPAD giveaway. Believe me this sounds great and makes a lot of sense. We will see the full impact of this over the next few days. Overall we are happy! No changes today. Let’s see how it rolls! Spending another $500 for advertisement.
post script; the voiceover on the “search side” that came from Internet jockey.com will probably raise the posting penetration by a few percent! We will see I’m Happy about this change/add on. Remember our goal is to have 25% percent of the people who go to the site to perceived need with their posting of their items/services/personals/AD’S

  26. notes; results for December 15, 2010, 733 people went to the home page which is a huge number! Very happy ;))). 84 people went on to the posting side of the site. This is the side where we make money!. We installed a voiceover on the search side of the site redirecting them to the post side. We hoped to increase our penetration of people going to and posting so we can ask them to spend money. This looks like it works because 11% is a good number for any site! Our goal is 25% which we should obtain within one year. How-ever of the 84 people who proceeded to post their ad 76 people made it to the second page which is 90% up 5% from the norm/80%. A this will be a new record! And am very happy to report we only lost five people from the second page to the “choose your visibility” page. This is a huge jump and a great accomplishment. When we started out we lost 20% every day, day in and day out! By the time the people got to the “choose your visibility” page we are always down 50% or higher from the first page! I am very happy because this means more money and we are going in the right direction! We maintained 100% from the options page to the special offers page which is to be expected. Very happy, time to move on! Changes will be making shortly. First thing it has been brought to my attention that are $25 “ one time premium ad “ is confusing and makes the site “ suspect “ which makes people lose confidence, ( very very bad ) so I will be submitting to click bank today a new product! One time add will be five dollars. This makes more sense and also builds value in the $30 unlimited premium ad section. We are also changing the verbiage. Premium to me means money or spending money. When I go to the gas station and I hear “premium” I am like “no not now, too expensive.” So we are going to change our product name to standard plus. And standard plus will come with a premium membership. This makes more sense and is less confusing/less threatening. The second thing we are going to change is the “matching” so you know the site matches two ways. When someone “ searches “ THE BARTERTOWN.NET keeps that search indefinitely. When someone posts the site automatically looks for anyone whom searched for this item or service or add match. So far we let this thing match anybody that fits this criteria. The problem with this was that if someone in California searches for a 2006 jaguar black SJ six. They will search within 50 miles or so of their house. Then someone in Florida post exactly what they are looking for. What has been happening is that person in California will get an e-mail stating there is a match! Unfortunately when they click on this e-mail there are no search results because the system then does another quarry and only matches within the area that Florida Posted, ( radius criteria ) to their ZIP code. I know hard to understand! I have 163 IQ and still try to wrap my mind around this stuff! Almost as hard as figuring out Relationships! Not quite! We are going to match only people whom searched for an item in the seam radius as the posters ( radius criteria ) to their ZIP code. this sounds easy right! Well wrap your mind around this one! If we do this then the site has to calculate how many zip codes are in certain radius

We are going to match only people whom searched for an item in the seam radius as the posters ( radius criteria ) to their ZIP code. this sounds easy right! Well wrap your mind around this one! If we do this then the site has to calculate how many zip codes are in certain radius

  31. ( May be 1000’s ). And if that’s not hard to do, then the system has to decide which search was most important to the searcher!?. For instance the searcher searches for a car, 5 miles from his home. Second search 10 miles, third search 25 miles all the way to 500 miles. How do we figure out which e-mail to send this searcher once it’s posted? We certainly can’t send him or her or them an e-mail for every search that’s called spam! So what do we do?, well I just spent $750 figuring it out. I will only send the first search criteria to the searcher. Because let’s face it that’s the one he or she or they really wanted. The other issue is figured out as well. We will be implementing that over the next couple days. I can’t give you the recipe for this because everybody be doing it!!. Next thing were going to implement is the ability to See your ad in a split screen rIGHT before you post. This split screen is going to show the difference and “placement” and “look” for a “standard plus” add and a “standard free ad.” This will in theory let the people see the difference and the features/benefits of purchasing a “standard plus” ad rather than posting a free one. Obviously you get what you pay for and you’re paying for a better looking ad with better placement. Along with all the other features the ads give you. You can read more about this here. http://www.thebartertown.net/learn-more/

  32. I’m going to implement a grid and some other good stuff proving to the people it’s better to post standard plus rather than free. See page for details. The next thing we’re going to implement is going to be the ability to alter your ad. As of now we could not figure out after an ad was posted how to delay it before it gets e-mailed out live. We have figured it out and it still is in near real time. We’ll also add a premium members forum. They can punch in their e-mail address once signed in and every ad of theirs will be available for deletion, alteration, upgrade etc. as of right now you can only delete your ad via e-mail link which is super easy! But this is even better. We also are adding a new admin station for me that has all the specs and statistics like a cockpit image yet for me. We also will have all the statistics available to premium members in their forum. This is how many ads are posted how many premium members etc. there are many more changes coming but I felt compelled to tELL you about these! because of the successes! we’ve had! via Google analytics and the goal system they have. It is impossible to gauge success without a tool like this. Okay not to drag on but I’ll save the rest of the changes for tomorrow! I hope we help you and please if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at my personal e-mail address enlightened_one@usbizprofit.com

  33. Notes; for Thursday, December 16; web development of the www.thebartertown.net
wow huge day yesterday even bigger than the 15th maximum smile on my face! Have you been following this since the beginning? If so this will shock you! If not please look us up on twitter or blogger for the full story. So yesterday December 16 832 people came to the home page of our website www.thebartertown.net that’s above average. What a shockingly increased by more than double is the amount of people who went on to post their advertisement compared to the past. With 793 absolute visitors the good news is people were coming back because our e-mail “ match system” is bringing them back as calculated in theory. This was the idea of me Scott Lubik. I was trying to figure out how to get people back to the site if they searched for something that was not available. You know starting a new site like this if somebody searched and did not find what they were looking for, your done! They’re never coming back again but if there was a way that the site could keep their search and then e-mail them when it’s posted that we just be brand-new and kick ass! And that’s exactly what we’ve done. Now you see 81.83% new visitors opposed to 100% a week ago. Average page view per visitor is now 3.02 up from 1.2 and the average time on the site is three minutes! Wow I’m such a geek but this is how you make money without leaving your house! Getting back to the Google analytics funnel/goals let me go to the statistics and you’ll see why I’m so excited! 832 people hit the homepage. Out of that 16% which is 135 up from 11% what a success! Let’s face it the voiceover I installed on the “ search” side worked along with the voiceover when he hit the home page! The bounce rate has dropped dramatically. This was the goal remember our ultimate goal is to make that 16% number 25% which is unheard of! out of that 135 people 87% which is 118 people proceeded to the second page. This is the page where you upload your pictures and also your description/price etc. then another huge success is the hundred 18 people who hit the “choose your visibility” page 73% went on to post their ad which is only a decrease of 27% total! This is the amount of people who finished the process by the way. To put this in perspective one week ago before the changes we were losing 50 to 75% so you do the math! Our changes are working we’re definitely going in the right direction! See the above articles previous days! 100% retention by the way from the “ options page” to the “ special offers” page.

  36. Here’s a side note, there was 174 searches done in the United States yesterday. If the site saves every search and will e-mail each searcher results when they are posted ( new ads ) what do you think is going to happen? Let me answer the the the 63,875 searchers will then come back to this site. They then will have confidence in the site because it works! Then they will post the ad and tell a friend! The site shops for you! It then follows up with an e-mail. Which gives us the opportunity to make more money and to provide a service that blows away the competition! Would you post your ad on a site if you knew it was going to be e-mailed to people who searched for it in the past? I would! Why not?!

  37. Friday the 17TH Summary of last week’s Web development for www.thebartertown.net last week was amazing. We had more traffic than ever before. Switched our advertising mindset. We added voiceovers from Internet jockey.com we also changed a few prices, one time standard plus add dropped from $25 to $5. We did this to build value in our $30 Unlimited product. The funnel through Google analytics increased near 100%. We’re on the right track and we will keep going. For the full story please check us out on blogger and twitter. 38. Notes; Friday, December 17 results for enhancements of thebartertown.net
We are very happy to report that today December 18, Saturday we looked at Google analytics and have seen that our traffic has increased to the next plateau ( over 700 visitors to homepage ) for the fourth day in a row. This is because 77.17% are new visitors and the rest are “be back” which is outstanding! We contribute this success to our e-mail system that matches previous searches for new posts, I contact.com and the new voiceovers we installed on three pages from Internet jockey.com. Please see last week’s articles for details. Check us out on blogger and twitter search thebartertown for results.Okay okay Yesterday’s results; 786 people came to the home page 115 people proceeded to post their item, ( this is how we generate revenue here at the Barter town.) One of the ways! This is up from an average of 9% for the fifth day in a row hovering around 15%! Our goal is 25% and we are going in the right direction! Maximum smile on my face :)))))Second page now of 3+1 special offer page. We maintained 88% holding in 101 people do that choose your visibility page.

  39. This page we installed a voiceover to sell our product and keep people curious. It has worked because we have lost an average of 20% between the second page and this page! Now we have just raised are retention rate to 75% total throughout the whole process! We have lost 50% to be kind up until these changes. We then maintained 100% as usual from the options page to the special offer. Yesterday we had a malfunction and I was on the phone with a woman named Peggy till 11:30 PM Eastern standard Time. We installed some JavaScript on this special offer page “no thanks” link. We have been receiving multiple e-mails and errors because people would hit this button several times! Every time they did there add would get sent to them ( advertisement proof ) this is unacceptable to say the least. Not to mention the site does an inquiry of who searched for what they posted, each time that button is pushed! So we installed the JavaScript and tested it on Firefox, Safari, chrome but we forgot to test it on an old version of Windows Explorer. Peggy was unable to post her ad. Thank God she called me which is why my phone number is all over this site. You know getting someone to reach in their pocket over the Internet is very hard these days. If you can get them to trust you it becomes easier! And the fun thing is definitely when you provide a service like the Barter town.net. Peggy is not only besides herself with the amount of personal attention I gave her she is now going to remove/not renew her advertisements at craigslist or eBay. Note to self; keep it like this Scott and it will be amazingly successful. I think I’m going to have a survey shout out after every post?! I’ll let you know. Okay here we go today December 18 Saturday.

Compared to previous days. if you have not been following the progress some of this may not make sense! Please check us out on blogger/twitter to get the full story and free information we provide. a great day yesterday! The word is definitely getting out! Another day with 747 full visitors to the home page. This seems to be the norm. Between seven and eight hundred per day. Thanks to opt in surveys with I-contact.com. Thank God when we built thebartertown.net we embedded their script into the “ search “ and “ post “ section. We did this to make sure we could keep in contact with people who came to our site regardless if they posted or not. If you have been to thebartertown.net in order to search or post you need to enter your e-mail address. This is how our system e-mails people who searched for something in the past once it is posted by someone else. Switching gears Any and all information we talk about is 100% true and can be backed up with facts from Google analytics. So getting back to the performance according to Google analytics, 777

  42. people hit the homepage. 115 people proceeded to post their item. Our goal is 25% we have increased our traffic to these pages from 9% with the changes we made in the previous days. Out of that 115 and 15 people who proceeded to post 108 which is 94% hung in their to the second page. From yesterday the 17th from 88% and up from last week Wednesday the eighth, 89% as I said we are trending in the right direction. I’m doing back flips in my office! :))))) So here is the big one in the prior days and weeks we lost on the average of 50% of our traffic between the “choose your visibility” page and options page. Just yesterday the 17th we maintained 75% which means 75% of the people whom started the posting process hung in there to our pages where we asked them to spend money. We maintained 80% which is a new record! This is a very important percentage because this means out of 115 people 86 people posted! Side note; have you ever been to a casino? You know you’re sitting in front of a winning slot machine! And a feeling you have that thing is going to hit!!! Well that’s how I feel about the site. And if you read all the trends and see the direction were going in?! You would to. by the way something we don’t talk about much, 777 visitors totals, 2061 page views, 2.65 page views per visitor, here’s the big one! Bounce rate down to 70.53% this is a great accomplishment! Probably due to the voiceover from Internet jockey.com! Average time Onsite up to two minutes and 55 seconds. New visitors 82.75% which is slightly higher than December 17 because we do not broadcast with i contact.com. Please read the full story if you’re interested in making money from home building an unbelievable website.

  43. Our next implementation. I will personally e-mail every “ poster ” to make sure their experience was a positive one. I will also follow up with a link on their “ ad proof “ which you sent immediately after they post. It will state “ if you need to make changes to your ad, please click this link to become a member.” It will then take them to the click bank Page.

  44. Notes for December 19, 2010, Web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net performance for the 19th comparison from previous. 535 people hit our homepage on December 19. This is a Sunday the last Sunday before Christmas. Most people would use this day as an excuse! Not me, ;( I believe most shopping is done online these days. Even though you may go to the store and pick up what you ordered online, you still shop online. Traffic was off by 200 to 300 people. I don’t talk much about search engine optimization or ( SCO ) because there are plenty of articles and companies out there that will help you. Our expertise is on what to do with the traffic wants it gets to the site. Let’s face it you could have 1 million people per day come to your site and if it suck’s you’re done! So here are the results, remember our goal is 25% of the visitors to go through the posting process of their ads. This is one of the main ways we generate revenue. 535 hit the home page, 86 people immediately searched. This is off by about 80 people. This is important because of the voiceover from Internet jockey.com we installed to redirect the searcher to post their ad after searching ( enticement ). 55 people which is 10% down from 15% normal or “plateau” went on to post their item. Remember the goal is 25% which is unheard of in the website world! Except for like motor vehicle Websites. Out of that 55 people 49 people proceeded which is 89% of the 535 people who started the process. This is not bad and normal. 31 people went on to the choose your visibility page which is only 63% of the 535 people. This is down from a plateau average of 80%. 31 people went on from the options page to the special offers page. 21 people successfully posted. free ads. Very weird and disturbing day. I am still super optimistic and think we have the best product on the market! Our goals were simple. An idea for you to put things in perspective. On any given day there are about 60 to 100,000 items posted on craigslist and about the same on eBay. I am comparing www.thebartertown.net with these two success stories! Here’s why. Craigslist made $44 million approximately in 2010. Now if you take the average of 100,000 ads placed daily and times that by 365 days this equals an ongoing mess in my head so be gentle! 365 million ads per year. If you take our history for every thousand ads that have been placed on www.thebartertown.net we have made $1100 cash. now that me put this in perspective! Our core design will generate 36,500,000 with the same amount of traffic as craigslist. It does not stop there though! Our system bills credit cards annually for the membership. So if we lost half let’s say! We would in theory make another 36,500,000 the next year with fresh ads. then the credit cards would be charged from the folks from the year before! So if we lost half figure, O I don’t know? 18,255,000 found money? So that would give us a gross revenue of somewhere around $54 million in my head movies :)))) you tell me what’s a better model? Now do you see my excitement!

    Phase 2 changes December 20, 2010.
It’s time now to ask the people whom play standard adds to spend money once again. It’s come to my attention through trial and error with www.thebartertown.net, some people have their volume turned down on their computer. This then kills our ability to upsell our ads. We are going to install a redirect on the “special offer page”. This redirect will go to a dummy page that shows their ad. Behind their ad is the actual “ search results for their category in Google” dimmed out. It will say to them “ 0ps! your ad is not being displayed on the search engines. This page will have two buttons. One for five dollars to place the ad as a single standard plus which will then index them in the search engines. The other button will be for the $30 subscription yearly. In theory this should generate a lot of cash!( I will pay close attention to the amount of people we lose

  47. between these pages ) if they choose “no thanks” then we will send them to the results page. We will also include these functions in the “ad proof” that is sent to their inbox.

    Second change for phase 2.
We will direct Word press two blog every standard plus add to be indexed automatically instead of manually. This will lighten my daily workload.

    third change for phase 2
it has become painfully apparent to me that most people refer to “barter” as trade. This simply is not true but people think it is. Our bounce rate has been 70 to 80% on a laser focused Prospect group. This is unacceptable! Changes to the home page will be as such.
in large the “buy sell and trade” under the Barter Town.
Move the trading options from the first page and replace it with a price field.
Install a radio button on the second page that will allow people to choose the trade option. This will make it much less confusing on the home page.
Remove the “ I would also take “ field which is confusing and does not fit someone who is selling something like real estate.

People think this site is just for trading according to the bounce rate! Would these changes we will make it crystal clear that you can sell on this site!

I will document the success after these changes are done!

  48. Notes for December 20, 2010 Web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net
comparison from previous with changes. Okay December 21 and I have not done any Christmas shopping :))) so here is the Google analytics tracking of the traffic through our site www.thebartertown.net. 500 people even hit the home page, never saw that before–which is still light even later than yesterday the 19th with 535 people hitting the home page. Christmas shopping? The answer is no I believe it’s SEO related ( search engine optimization ) but we had that conversation yesterday. I got some tweets back regarding “ balance” prevention and I’m going to read them today. Thank you! So 54 people proceeded to post their item or service. This is 11% up 1% from yesterday. Remember this is how we make money so the goal is to get this percentage to 25% consistently. That will be a feat and we will figure it out! So out of the 54 people 83% which is 45 through the process and clicked through to the third page “choose your visibility” this is 83% of the 500 which is about normal a little low. The 73% proceeded to the options page which is 33 people. 100% perceive it on to post. So remember we’re going to add a page to this sequence. It’s going to be a page that says “ Ops, the search engines can’t see you” then it will ask them to upgrade once again to standard plus. We have to be careful with this! We can’t lose too many people. You know it has to be a mindset! Maybe him approaching this thing the wrong way? I have to make it so they need me. Like craigslist that is the hardest and worst site to use but 100,000 people per day do it! It’s because they provide a service that people need. I think I need to take that stance. Put people back on their heels, backdoor approach, does this come with time? Give me some feedback please and thank you for reading this article. 50. Notes for December 21 2010: Web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net ongoing development and comparison to previous days with changes. Cartwheels because I’m right! :00)))))) So remember when I was going “ bU WHO “ on the 19th and 20th because I thought Christmas was getting in the way of people surfing the net. I questioned it but I did not believe it. Thank God, I knew it was a SEO problem not a Christmas problem. So easily shook we are when it comes to something we are creating! Here’s the facts I’m happy to report! Yesterday December 21, 2010, 751 people visited www.thebartertown.net. Our goal is to have 25% of those people post their ad. This is becoming apparently clear and obtainable, as far as goals go. 15% up from 11% yesterday proceeded to the second page which is outstanding! Backflip:)) office, hit head on chair. lol anyway catch the full story on how we have struggled with this and you’ll see my reasons for being happy. Moving on, out of or 115 people 108 people proceeded to the second page this is 94%! Up 10% outstanding! out all of the 115 people, 108 people click through the “ shoes your visibility “ page on our last page 79 people which is 73% up from 50% across-the-board! Moved on to special offer and proceeded to post. This is up a little bit, the loss of people between “ choose your visibility” and “ special offer “ page. Unfortunately I can’t take out the “ special offer ” page because a lot of are income is generated rate then and there. I contribute today success to the following changes.

The first change was changing the message of our “opt in” e-mail recipients. I placed the word SELL in the message which lead people to believe that you can sell on our site. Sounds funny but most people believe the word “barter” means trade. This is not true 100% but most people believe it is so we’ll go with that. I believe that change directly impacted the penetration of people who posted.

That was the only change of the day! Remember if you change things on your small business/website you have to document and track with Google analytics. If you change stuff blindly without tracking your destined to fail. You have to document your changes or you’re destined to fail. If something doesn’t work you have to backtrack so you have to keep copies of “previous versions”. This is serious business! Make sure you just don’t change things, a lot of things out of desperation! We all have done it! Remember in this life one thing is true always! “ A fast move is a wrong move!”

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

  56. Notes for December 22 2010: Web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net ongoing development and comparison to previous days with changes.
Yesterday December 22 was my precious beautiful 11-year-old daughters birthday! Seems like just yesterday she was three, pause WOW! Like all of you parents out there, I am sure you would like to leave something for your kids so they won’t struggle like we do. This is why I’m so serious about what I do on the net. This is more than a job for me. I have to succeed! Having said that, I work in front of this computer 12 hours per day seven days per week. Just until this www.thebartertown.net takes off to the point where I can hire someone! Unfortunately a lot of my day right now consists of proofing ads. It’s amazing what people buy, sell and trade. Every once in a while, we get that one ad that would shut you down! So we have to be diligent about this. www.thebartertown.net Was built for convenience. It uses systems that were not available

    ReplyDelete
  57. when craigslist or eBay were created. As a matter of fact, these two highly successful sites could not even implement the features we offer. Their infrastructure is built to make money a certain way. Ours is built upon memberships and standard plus adds. Huge difference because we have the flexibility to do more for our customers this way. Instead of billing them per ad or getting a portion of a sale, we are able to offer our service for only $30 per year. This would cost you approximately $775 to do on craigslist but your ad would not be broadcasted on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing, etc. this is all automated and built very deep within the core of our site. With that $30 purchase you can post unlimited standard plus adds. This is why memberships for this application serve the public better. Think about this for one second. You own a used car lot for

    ReplyDelete
  58. example. Some people would have their own website and that’s fine. If you know anything about seo or search engine optimization you know the only way this works any more is if you spend tens of thousands of dollars in advertisement ( on your own site ). So our benefit is this, the same used-car lot posts their inventory on www.thebartertown.net. Their first ad would read example; “ 2008 Toyota Corolla “ this would be the headline. That ad then get’s blog to the search engines. Someone then looking for a new car, searches in the Google search on their browser “ 2008 Toyota Corolla” take one good guess who is number one or on the first page for this result? That’s right because their headline is a classified “one-liner” the add gets huge amount of traffic. The searcher then clicks on the ad from their Google search. It redirects them to the ad on www.thebartertown.net then success! Person reads add, makes contact or clicks on the used car dealers link to their website in the ad. this is how it works! Because thousands of ads are posted on the Internet by www.thebartertown.net the search engines are starting to rank these ads all on the first page or close to. This then provides a service unique and different. All this for $30! To do this yourself would cost you tens of thousands not to mention headache through trial and error. This would mean you would have to add this cost to your product! bad :(

  59. okay here’s the results from yesterday December 22
800 people came to the home page normal, 98 people proceeded to post which is 12% a little low but no alarms are going off! We retained 84% which is 82 people through the choose your visibility page. 71% of the 98 people proceeded to post which is 58 people! About normal not to spend a lot of time today but if every one of those people spent $30 we made me think $1740 not bad! Spent about $300 to get those 800 people to us! Next year we won’t have to spend that $300

    ReplyDelete
  60. for those people. There cards automatically get charged for the following year! Changing gears I read some articles on bounce rate “ that’s how many people came to your home page then left” so we got ours down to 70.41% which is low for this type of site. I contribute this to the return visitors. These are all good signs in him happy to report we are going in the right direction! Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah!

  61. Notes for December 24 2010: Web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net ongoing development and comparison to previous days with changes.
December 23, 2010 performance of www.theBartertown.net . Awesome day yesterday but very light traffic. Real quick stats to compare with prior. 391 people hit the homepage. This is off by about 500 visitors. SCO problem I am sure. I’ll fix that after these notes. 14% proceeded to post there ad which is 53 people. 45 people proceeded to the second page which is 85% of the original 391. Remember I harp on this and report a lot of information on this because this final is how the site is going to make money. The site will make money other ways but this will definitely be the main moneymaker. Choose your visibility page maintains 78% of the original 391 people our goal here is to maintain 100% once they hit the first page of the posting process. I think it’s obtainable if we market this product the right way. Once people find out that they can post an ad and it gets blog to the Internet with a super high ranking because of www.theBartertown.net the numbers will jump drastically because once people figure out there’s no need for them to spend thousands of dollars on SCO for products that cost less than $100 or so for example, they will come running. 100% proceeded on to post their ad as expected. The question remains? How do we get approximately 100,000 people per day to post on our site?… I know time is a factor, I no this. But what else? Obviously it’s a trust factor and it’s a question of “ am I wasting my time posting on this site “ this is a question I would ask myself if I was selling something and already had it posted somewhere else. What I want to waste my time posting on another site? I think the answer lies in performance. Word-of-mouth should spread about us blogging peoples ads for them. The only thing this can do is make the ad perform much better! But how do we get people to trust us?

  64. notes: for December 25 and 26th web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net ongoing development switching gears to “tweak” the “bounce” of fact.
Switching gears a bit on the development side of www.thebartertown.net. It has come to my attention that we have an ongoing “bounce rate” of 72.86% which is low or write about normal with most sites. We have been concentrating on the Google analytics, goals, funal for a long time now. I think we have that to the point where if we can get the bounce rate down will become rich. My developer Philip light mentioned to me that the name thebartertown.net implies trade only! By definition I would have to concur but let’s take “ Auto Trader “ TM–for example, doesn’t the name imply trading? Or how about breaking it down to the ridiculous and let’s talk about “your driveway” doesn’t that imply driving? Not parking! And then you have to be absolutely ridiculous the “ Parkway “ which is a place where you do about 80 miles an hour! So the name I believe is important but not as important as the message when you hit the home page. You have about 5 seconds before someone clicks off your site! This is a fact, I have made this site super simple! You can only search or post on the home page is not a lot of visual things moving or confusing stuff! So at the top where it says “ welcome to the barter town” I think I will replace this with “ Sales Center “ in very large font with smaller font on top of it that says the bartertown . net. This’ll be the first thing people see when they hit the page. I think maybe some people are saying “ I don’t want to trade, I want to sell “ them we are watching them exit the site. This can be the only explanation! Our SCO is laser pinpointed towards people who want to sell things via classifieds. Maybe it’s just not clear enough when they hit the home page. Going back to the name who would’ve thought Craigslist- TM would be a great form of classifieds for sale? The name does not apply to any classifieds. So have to say it’s the content and word-of-mouth. This is what we will work on. Remember the stats as of December 27, 2010,
    bounce rate average 72.86%
    0 to 10 seconds on site 74.14%
this LEADS me to believe that people just don’t know you can sell on the site! This is something I will fix on Tuesday today I’m going to just let it run as usual.
post script; So if we could cut that number in half Justin in half, that would have driven approximately 30% very rough figure 2 post their item which would give us a 30% greater chance on top of the 17.2% we already have. This will more than double our sites and come.
Goal as of December 27, 2010
get down “Bounce Rate” to 30 to 35% consistent.

  69. Notes for December 27, 2010 Web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net, ongoing development with trial and error. As prior discussed we are going to switch gears here and talk about “ bounce rate” will use Google analytics as the tool that measures how many people look at the site and just leave. We have put a very good money making system in place that is hovering around 15% penetration for visitors moving on to the next step, ( posting their item ) this is how we make money! If I can get the “bounce rate” to plummet! The site www.thebartertown.net will benefit exponentially! Posts will go up, the site will recognize these posts and e-mail the prior searchers. This will then snowball into something uncontrollable! www.thebartertown.net Runs a 72.86% bounce rate from inception on October 14, 2010 till now. On average 750 people visit the site daily. Here’s the changes we made yesterday the 27th and here’s what’s happened so far! The bounce rate went from average to 67.05% which is down by 5%. We replaced “ welcome to thebartertown.net “ with “the barter town.net sales center” this than will be the first thing people see when they hit the site which will unmistakably calm their fears of being on a site that only promotes trading. We also moved the trading option to the second page. We hid it and it will only appear if you check the box that states “ I am interested in trading this item “. www.thebartertown.net Is increasing revenue daily. Income is increasing exponentially with the changes that we have made. I am excited and optimistic! We spend $550 per day and www.thebartertown.net is covering all costs and throwing a profit. All this since October 14, 2010. Remember we have been researching for three years. Now were in the development stage. Catch the full story on twitter, blogger with the link below.

  72. Notes for December 29, 2010 web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net, ongoing development with trial and error. Results for December 28, 2010. Okay we made some changes to www.thebartertown.net’s homepage to reduce the bounce rate from 72.86% down to 67.10%. Five points lower two days in a row. On the surface this looks like a success and we moved in the right direction by replacing “ welcome to the Barter town” with www.thebartertown.net on the very top and “Sales Center” in large font. If did on the surface lower the bounce rate but also lowered the amount of ads that

  73. were placed/paid ads. 16% of the 521 people who came to the home page, proceeded t0 post. we did this to get away from “barter only” and retain people whom just want to sell. In short, this took a way the whole “being different” thing and placed us in direct competition with Craigslist. This is not a bad thing, if you want to go out of business! We neglected to tell the people how we are different! www.thebartertown.net Is different in every way from any other classified site therefore we need to state the facts! Within 5 seconds of someone hitting the home page or they will not be vested or sold on the features and benefits of www.thebartertown.net. Therefore why would they post on ou

So we quickly backtracked and changed the “ sales center “ and some other stuff to the following.www.thebartertown.net. home page now says “TheBartertown.net” in small font above “classifieds 2.0” in large font! Under that now says “ the leveraging search engines, blogs and e-mail marketing.” Now I don’t know what 2.0 is? I seen it everywhere but still no. Therefore most people don’t know! However you would need to quickly within a few seconds find something that gives you more information right?! That’s why we put “ leveraging search engines, blogs and e-mail marketing.” This now

your classified ads will be visible on Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Advanced e-mail marketing system sends your ads to those who previously searched for your item or services.

www.thebartertown.net Should now get its point across that we are better and different while also letting people know they can buy sell and trade along with lowering the bounce rate dramatically! Remember our goal, 35% bounce rate! This will dramatically increase revenue by default. I’ll let you know how it turns out! Catch the full story on twitter or blogger!

ongoing development with trial and error. Results for December 29, 2010. biggest day so far ever! 1165 people decided to come to our site yesterday! This is great news, great news. This means the word is getting out! www.thebartertown.net Is definitely growing, changing and evolving daily. We have been making changes to the home page to lower the bounce rate. This will in turn make www.thebartertown.net more profitable for us. We have looked in many ways to do so and once again learned another way, how not to. Our bounce rate increased to 73.07% yesterday and is in possible to calculate because of the increased traffic yesterday so we will allow it to run again today. www.thebartertown.net

  77. Blows out! A personalized blog every time someone posts a new item. The blog gets SEO from a plug-in I use within WordPress. This blog has the power to get number one ranking because it blogs by the title of the classified. We have to get the word out about this! Here’s why!! Before someone posts anything on craigslist or eBay here’s what they do. They go to the Google search bar or whatever, Yahoo MSN etc. and they punch in exactly what they own! This then gives them an idea of a sales price or just how to market it! My thinking was when I created www.thebartertown.net was to grab those millions and millions of people before they reached

    ReplyDelete
  78. craigslist or eBay. How I was going to do this was creating individual blogs every time someone posts which would dramatically increase our chances of earning people’s business by them posting on our site. Here’s why, someone has an antique. They search for that antique online via Google search bar. They stumble across on the first page of the Google results an ad that says “ antique for-sale/ www.thebartertown.net.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Two things happen at that point! The people click on the antique link in the Google search results out of sheer curiosity. Then they click the link that directs them back to my site! This serves our membership base and also us. So getting back to the homepage we decided to replace the tag line under “ classifieds 2.0 “ with post on Google Yahoo and Bing all at once! This would gather and grab people’s attention more than yesterday’s tagline under classifieds 2.0. We also changed the “ change your visibility” page to match the home page with the logos from the other three Search engine sites. We will see today if that lowers our bounce rate! www.thebartertown.net definitely is going to be a force to reckon with! It offers so much more for such little or no money! It truly works.

Get down “Bounce Rate” to 30 to 35% consistent.

    ReplyDelete
  83. To do this we need in an action plan and a lot of trial and error! We had to reach deeply into our repertoire of knowledge! Myself with over 20 years experience in marketing and sales. My developer Philip Light with his extensive knowledge with SEO, Web development etc., very smart guy! To tell you where some of my thoughts come from about this than me tell you about a guy in South Philly that owns and operates very successful night clubs. I had a conversation with him about “ crowd control “ I said “ how do you control these people once they walk through the front door of your club? “ He started talking about the position of the lights, he talked about the position of the furniture and what would catch the patrons I when they came in etc. he could almost pinpoint when someone walked in, the first place they would go! Some of the areas in the club always got jammed with people, he said he would like,, put lights, really hot lights! In those areas to keep the herd moving! As he called it. He would be very careful not to put too many things between the front door and the bar! This is how he makes his money! The bar! So don’t make it difficult to get there right. So I use this and think about this regarding www.thebartertown.net daily

    ReplyDelete
  84. How do I control the people that walk through my front door? Here’s what I did and it’s working! First off I changed the tagline under “ classifieds 2.0 “ It reads “ Post on Google, Yahoo and Bing all at once! “ This is different! And gets people curious because they have never heard of this before. So I bought myself another 5 seconds right! according Google analytics the average time on the site yesterday was three minutes even! That’s a huge jump from the day before which was right around two minutes and 20 seconds. Therefore in theory they must be interested, the visitors I mean. I took away all the obstacles on the home page and made it super simple to post and search! This way there is nothing between the people seeing the value in spending time on the site. Out of 868 people that hit the homepage

    ReplyDelete
  85. a record 17% conversion happened because of our changes and our ability to offer people something different than what they’re used to! Hope for gain is superpowerful! If you can show people that they will get less pain and more pleasure by acting on something that you want them to do, you will be successful. Just point them in the direction that will cause them to feel pleasure. That pleasure may be selling tere item without the bull, and that’s what we offer. The “bounce rate” dropped to 66.81% success! All because we showed people how to experience more pleasure with less pain. remember pain is perceived by some people as “ a hassle “ especially on the Internet, pleasure in this case is “ easy-to-use “ you understand! 87. Notes for January 1, 2011 web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net Performance of the site for December 31, 2010, New Year’s Eve! as you can see I am here at about nine o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Day! You know where my priorities lie! www.thebartertown.net Had a magnificent day yesterday with a bounce rate superlow compared to the norm, see above notes for Norm. 63.77% and holding! Down from 72.86. Average time on site is exactly 3 minutes and 6 seconds. This is by design, we cleared out all obstacles for someone to very quickly post an item on www.thebartertown.net.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Switching gears here real quick I want to talk about “ nor logical associations “ for example; how do you spell relief? The answer is, ROLAIDS! Remember that commercial? Now it’s burnt into my head and probably yours!. Relating that to www.thebartertown.net. we have to get the word out there that www.thebartertown.net will give you pleasure! The human condition is very simple. It consists of two things according to my good friend Tony Robbins. It consists of “ avoiding pain “ and “seeking out pleasure” now what an individual believes his pain and pleasure varies. So how do we get people to envision pleasure when it comes to our site? That is the million dollar question. We are going to have to start promoting “ nor logical associations “. Told you I’m hard-core! Anyway whatever we’re doing is working because for the amount of people whom have visited our site, the conversion rate is drastically climbing. I think the changes we made our extremely well thought out. To drop a bounce rate by 10 points in one week is extraordinary, believe this! The conversion rate as predicted has climbed as well. “ this is where people post their items “

    ReplyDelete
  89. “ i.e. how we make money. We were struggling around 9% now we are up to 17% and holding. I’m interested to know what’s going to happen after the holidays? Our ultimate goal remember is to bring the bounce rate down to 35% and the conversion rate to 25%. This will dramatically increase our revenue! Now granite, someone posting a five dollar big wheel is not going to spend five dollars for a one time premium membership that allows you to post unlimited “ standard plus “ ad’s. So you’re not going to get everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Completely switching topics A tactical error that websites like Barter Quest, BarTer World etc. made is this. They alienated the people who want to sell there item not trade. Remember craigslist has been successful because they don’t alienate anyone! They have free ads, they have packages all the way up to $647 for a single one-liner depending on the area and duration! They also have a “ Barter “ box. This way they get a mix of everything. For a while there people would just say “ go ahead, just throw it on craigslist “ you know that is a nor logical association, people associated craigslist with selling there item immediately ( pleasure ). This is what these other two websites I just pointed out completely messed! One of them has only 4000 items posted and has been around for years. I already have that, and I started October 14, 2010. We have to never alienate anyone!, Provide a better service than the competition, Provide that service cheaper than the competition, and remember the best saying I ever heard was this! “ When you truly try to help someone without thinking about your own pocket, you will then be successful “ and that is exactly how on building this site.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Okay well in our development in our plan we have done many things. Let me run some else by you. This is how I think and excuse me but I’m a little crazy and I always talk to myself in the third-party? :) Here we go. When the plane takes off it knows its destination. Can you imagine if that plane took off and had nowhere were no plan in mind? That’s ludicrous! While most people don’t do business and life exactly this way! Here’s the plan that I set forth for this site, I know the destination, the destination is obvious build up a huge income for me and my family. Eventually someone will buy us out and I may be just an employee. That is the endgame just like a plane that leads for Hawaii from New Jersey. The pilot knows he’s going to somehow wind up in Hawaii. Well that’s how strongly I feel about where this site will eventually wind up. Action plan is the next thing that I will concentrate on. How might I get there? Important note; I may be detoured but eventually I’m going to get there. Kind of like that plane making an unscheduled stop in California. They stop maybe because of the weather? But eventually they get back up in the air and make it to Hawaii. The pilot associates not getting to his destination with “pain”, failure, losing his or her job etc. I associate not making this site work with “ pain “ and my pain would be, working for someone else, standing on some car lot somewhere, not providing for my three children etc. and that just ain’t going to happen!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Okay enough about that stuff. I’m going to make some changes with the final, I know I said I wasn’t going to do it but I have to. I got like 100 people or so per day posting ads in my penetration rate is not where I wanted it. Remember that action plan I talked about! This is part of the master plan. I’m going to add a “preview your ad page” directly after people upload their photos. They will be able to visualize their ad as a “ standard +” ad. They will see their ad with the placement of where they will be on our site. They will see their ad with Google Yahoo and Bing webpages. And they will see the e-mail campaign we will set forth once they purchase the $30 product. Somehow I have to associate good things with this product. Now if they say no they have the ability still to post that free ad. They will then be redirected to a page that allows them to preview their ad as a “standard” ad. Somehow I have to associate this decision with “ pain “ I’m not quite sure how to do it yet. This is where trial and error comes in. I know I will show the replacement much lower on our site. There’ll be a big x over the search engine indexing. There will be a big X. over the e-mail campaign, this is where we e-mail their ad to whom have searched for it in the past.

Hindsight I should have probably named this “ cash register classifieds “ instead of www.thebartertown.net. just kidding of course, excellent day yesterday with the completion of our SEO model, ( search engine optimization ) the way we have this set up should bring in thousands of new searchers and posters daily. Also with the completion of our sites ability to post blogs and webpages for individual aD’S. This is huge and most people don’t realize including myself how huge this is for people finding items and services on the Internet. No longer are people governed to find what they’re looking for on craigslist or eBay. They can now just Google search what they’re looking for and an ad will pop up that someone posted on our site! Example; poster posts a 2010 Lexis on www.thebartertown.net.

    ReplyDelete
  97. They upgrade to “ standard plus “ $30, the site then not only posts that add first on any results page but then creates a specific and unique Web site/page for that Lexis! And its photos etc. very sharp and unique! Now here’s where it gets interesting. Someone that knows absolutely nothing about www.thebartertown.net goes to their search bar on their browser and types in “ 2010 Lexus for sale, or 2010 Lexus” take one good guess what pops up? Yeah that’s right we figured out how to code this where it comes up “top ranking” on the search engines. I know, why didn’t I think of this? That’s what you’re thinking right. Well to think of something like that you would need divine intervention. I’m not kidding these ideas

    ReplyDelete
  98. mutate in such a fashion that only divine intervention could have sculpted such a blissful masterpiece as this. www.thebartertown.net It’s going to be a force to reckon with on the Internet. We are truly helping people without any concern of our own. This is how you are successful!

Okay let’s go to the results for yesterday January 2 2011. So 707 visitors total nice right! Wait till people start clicking those webpages with those Lexus etc. posted out

    ReplyDelete
  99. there! 648 were absolute unique visitors viewing 2319 pages. Average page purview is way up! 3.28, there’s only four pages on the site. Time Onsite three minutes 26 seconds! By design down a little bit. Bounce rate! Down again yesterday 62.60% now down to 62.23%! Going in the right direction needless to say. Here’s another figure that is definitely going in the correct direction! New visitors 71.71% I may explain this to you, the site e-mails people who searched for what these people yesterday posted! So the following thing happens; people come back because the site follows up, shops for them and remind them when something is posted! Almost 30% came back. That doesn’t even happen ever anywhere people just go somewhere else! Very happy about that. recurrence sees what we need to look at. These people were common back up to 30 days later! that means that our e-mail system for www.thebartertown.net is working we even have people coming back 61 TO 221 days later. Same day even 13.30% back to the site. If you go to new versus return at Google analytics you will see that www.thebartertown.net now has 28.29% of its traffic from return visitors! From November 1 to December 1 it was only 17.79 still good but getting better! Remember our goals! Read the articles above like I do every day! 35% bounce rate, 25% penetration and were getting there! Myself Scott Lubik and what has come to be a great friend and great asset Philip Light are very thankful for the success and thankful for what we have but totally believe in this because it makes so much sense, the whole concept and idea behind the spinoffs is amazing. Looks like a job for life!

Yeah! Huge day my small business brought in, in the thousands! Thank God. All this is starting to pay off. I was never worried, always thankful and aware of what I have. I’ll tell you when you be honest, work hard, provide a cheap service that everyone needs and can afford, do what you say and say what you do, put your customer before yourself and truly try to help people!, that’s when you will make money on the Internet by the thousands!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Let’s talk about some changes were going to make or should I say some ad on, affiliates, referral program and hiring people ( work at home referral program ). You know I use click bank because of the way the referral program works. Right now we have people referring this site. This is awesome because each time someone refers the site they get a check! This will all be automated over the next few days through click bank. The system is in place and has been in place since October 14, 2010. But never have we offered something so powerful. This is going to truly help people by letting them make $15 per client they submit as a referral. This sounds hard but it truly is not. After someone posts on our site there will be a page that they come to that states “ the person that just referred you made $15 “ “how would you like to make a minimum of $300 per week from home.” Now this will truly sink in because if they were from a referral then they will say to themselves “ yeah they got me! “ So on and so forth it will begin to snowball. Just like it is today but times infinity! Let’s talk about SCO ( search engine optimization ) I definitely have the best person working on this! Philip Light whom is now profit-sharing in www.thebardertown.net

    ReplyDelete
  102. is definitely a genius and the ideas that I lay out that I truly believe are given to me by a higher power! He then helps me implement them and keeps them simple! We put them on a page and talk through each and every change for www.thebartertown.net. You know Apple computers took off because not only are they a nicer product but they are very simple! You cannot screw them up! There’s no settings like there are on other operating systems that you can mess up. www.thebartertown.net It is being designed and has been designed just like that! We keep one common focus, what do people want and how do we give it to them each and every time without fail? We keep it simple and it works and it sincerely and truthfully provides a better service than craigslist and eBay combined. www.thebartertown.net

    ReplyDelete
  103. www.thebartertown.net It is truly a work of art and a custom website which was built on sound foundations and principles that have been proven over and over again on the net. www.thebartertown.net is definitely taking off and is definitely going in the right direction. I log all these notes and keep a journal because this is healthy behavior. Our goals are all written in stone! They do not change. But the outcome remains the same, serve people the way you would like to be served! Quality, excellence and all that good stuff wrapped up into one unique costume marketplace www.thebartertown.net. I can’t tell you all the good changes yet to come!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Let’s talk about Google analytics for one moment, this is a tool that you cannot live without if you do what I do for a living. It tells you everything about the website and that’s how you gauge the changes that you have made day in and day out. Today I was

    ReplyDelete
  105. schooled a little bit on the tab that says “ all traffic source “ in the analytics Arsenal. www.thebartertown.net Creates a webpage for every individual ad placed on the website, in ‘standard plus” status. Now this is definitely working here’s how I know! We had someone in the title post her name and then her service. Then she went to her Google bar and searched. She was successful and redirected back to the site! Google analytics picked this up. This seems to be the behavior of our members. We are going to implement a system that’s e-mailed a link to our members once submission time is over with Google. It will then allow them to click the link and see their ad lives outside of www.thebartertown.net. I’m very excited to say the least. New visitors yesterday had a huge mix of sources. So you know a source is example; someone find you on Google, Google becomes the “ source “ mediums are then calculated. Example; someone’s website has a link to your website, that website then referred you. So the medium is a referral. www.thebartertown.net Is all about Google analytics so we know basically everything, and what works! I suggest if you have a small business on the Internet you immediately go with this Google analytics thing! :) Moving forward the numbers are shifting and a lot of people are now coming back to the site, finding us on the Internet and becoming loyal customers of ours.

    ReplyDelete
  106. let’s go over the figures from yesterday!
1675 people visited our site which is up dramatically and to be expected! Average is around 800 so we doubled this. Absolute unique visitors were 1526. Page views were 5176, average pages 3.08. Time Onsite down a fraction to three minutes and 12 seconds maybe because of the very sleek and easy way to post and search? Bounce rate is up to 65.57% up a tad. New visitors 78.92 which leaves the balance to return visitors thanks to our system in place that e-mails people once something is posted that they want. And those prescriptions have tripled! Funnel penetration remains at 20% remember our goal was 25% we may have to raise this goal once hit.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Changing gears, I answer my phone every time someone calls and asked them a series of questions related to the site. These questions are targeted to find problems and solutions. Also they are designed to test the happiness of our membership base. I suggest if you own a website or small business you do the same.

  109. Yesterday was anything but normal! Very weird day. It allowed me to reflect on some very important fundamentals of life and business life/making money on the Internet. Everybody selling something i.e. how to get Rich stuff on the Internet is only selling that stuff mostly because they failed to start an online business that was successful. Now I’m not knocking online home business advertisements in any way shape or form. All some saying is that most of these courses should widen your views on how to make money on the Internet. I remember out of sheer stupidity I purchased this thing for US$2500 that was supposed to help me market some stuff or something. I absolutely positively felt like getting a lawyer and suing this company. I swear at the time I thought it was a ripoff. I realize though I learned something. The course taught “ niche “ sales. And also taught me a few huge valuable lessons. here they are as follows.

    ReplyDelete
  110. It is a tactical business error to have a great product with no way to deploy it. Solution; build a product around a Deployable market. ( niche )

keep it simple stupid! Solution; keep things very simple that work.

This will be the most important part of this article. Tony Robbins preaches this and it is the most true saying/teachings and I swear sent from God above to Tony so we all can benefit. Your online business has to satisfy “the six human needs”

Need for certainty; predictable outcome for example, doing what your site says it will do.

Need for uncertainty; keeping it interesting so people can grow. Example, choices.

Need for connection and love; herd mentality example, seeing other people make the same choices.

Need to grow; allow people to educate themselves quickly and effortlessly.

    Last one,

Ability to contribute; allow people to contact you and give you feedback.

If you can implement these things on your site/small business on the Internet! People will not only reach into their pockets but will do it over and over again.

    ReplyDelete
  111. 0kay let’s move on, very busy today so I may give you some quick stats so you can go back into yesterday’s article for www.thebartertown.net and compare and see changes. 1355 people hit the home page. Only 15% proceeded on to post. This is down from a plateau and goal of 20%. We expect better results today between 20 and 22%. Outstanding cash flow–day. Although we lost a huge amount of people on the bottom of our “preview standard plus page” now on the home page it said “ post your free ad immediately” my mistake was not giving the opportunity at the bottom of the preview page to compare “standard plus” $30 annual or five dollar one time. And standard which of course is free. I gave the opportunity but it was not clear therefore we lost 70 people yesterday on the bottom of this page according to Google analytics. The bottom of the “ standard plus preview page” now states “ compare with free ad “ basically this way the people still know they can post a free ad. At this point this change makes all the sense in the world. www.thebartertown.net It is well on its way to having thousands of items posted daily. Search engine traffic is on the rise as well. This is because of the webpages the site blasts out and indexes with the search engines every time there is a new ad posted. www.thebartertown.net Is cutting edge and my ticket to becoming a multimillionaire once again.

Post script I will bring my friend Philip light with me this time!

  112. Notes for January 6, 2011 web development diaries for www.thebartertown.net

Well well well! Here we are at a net revenue of 50% more week to date. We made outstanding changes last week which led to our biggest week ever. Click bank ends there week on Tuesday making Wednesday the first day of their week. We are 50% ahead of last week with about 50% of our tricks deployed on www.thebartertown.net. When I say trick’s maybe that’s the wrong word what I really mean is “our rollout schedule” we roll out something new each week. This is on top of the enhancements and tweaks. www.thebartertown.net Is an outstanding site but it has come to my attention that even with the tweaks we are hovering around a 60 to 70% bounce rate. With the audience that we are targeting, this is unacceptable! www.thebartertown.net Should be at a very low bounce rate. But let’s talk about what changes I will make to lower this once we do the “ rebuild “ first off a good friend of mine told me today the reason why our bounce rate remains high is simple. He explained to me “in this day and age people want to see results before they need to make or do any action.” This makes perfect sense! After all www.thebartertown.net homepage has absolutely nothing moving, it’s just search or post very simple. The problem is you have to proceed with an action before you can see any results. Today Philip and I discussed exactly what we’re going to do. The new site will have results on the home page. A mixture of everything except for the “ adult “ section. What I mean is this. At the very top left-hand corner of the site of course it will say “ The Barter Town . net. Under that it will say “ classifieds 2.0” because that’s the package we are pushing. Our secret is we are selling an advertisement package! That’s what people are buying left and right.

    ReplyDelete
  113. www.thebartertown.net. We can’t get away from that! Then directly under that will be a “search bar” real thin just wide enough for you to enter the category, next to that will be the narrower search options, next to that will be the e-mail input because remember the site saves every search. We will make it mandatory if you narrow your search to input your e-mail address. This way the people get results before they have to do any action. The “herd mentality” will then take full effect and it will be like shooting fish in a barrel! Any way as you type in the unwanted results will start to disappear only leaving exactly what you are looking for. The opposite of the new system Google deployed. Not to mention the clean, outstanding, quality that the visitor will see and experience. We also are going to make the site more streamlined. We’re going to make it have a “2.0” modern look. We’re going to dumb it down and make sure even the most novice computer person can operate. The results are going to be photos I don’t know the size yet but be sure they will be sharp and impressive. When you come to this site you’re staying in! That’s the goal. We are starred in this project, February February 1, 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Let’s talk about what we just rolled out for www.thebartertown.net. I spent a lot of time pondering on how to deploy this project. That is my role in this drama filled roller coaster called Web development. I decided to allow people to make unlimited amount of money. Here’s how, go to this site, post your ad, the thank you page pops up with instructions and an offer. Every e-mail address you give us as a referral is worth $15. We get as many as we can. We then sign them up right there at click bank. They then send an e-mail right from our site inviting people to www.thebartertown.net. The hop link tracks the referrals. People come, people buy, people get paid! Wait till this catches on :)). Genius helping people make money for real! And 10 people telling 10 people telling 10 people. Oldest form of Advertisement.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Now struggling with this change. we decided to create a “ preview standard plus page “ this is right after you upload your photos. You can see all the benefits. We had a huge day last Saturday, Sunday and Monday because of this. It is awesome! It actually shows your ad on the search engine before you place it, a must see! the problem is we had a link at the bottom that stated “ no thanks I’m not that serious about this ad “ I’ll know about you but I would never hit that button! Anyway of course we lost a lot of people. But we made a lot of money so that Catch-22 was, do I lose these free ads while I’m populating the site? I we chose to remove that stroke of genius link and replace it with “ preview free standard ad” now people are going to that page. They are previewing and at the bottom there is an option to of course purchase standard plus or five dollar trial for five days or no thanks. Too many choices I think but we have to offer a free service. If they click no thanks they then go to a page that allows them to post a one time standard plus ad. Anyway this was the right thing to do even now we may not make as much money we are providing this service people expect. By the way our retention rate doubled when we made these changes.

    ReplyDelete
  116. www.thebartertown.net Stats for January 5, 2011, 1312 people hit the homepage. 15% which is 195 people proceeded to post or ad, our opportunity to make money by the way. We maintained a huge percentage and people went on to post. Double the amount

    ReplyDelete
  117. as last week. Lots of good stuff going on in the SEO sector as well I’ll fill you in on that when I get some rock solid results! Good luck.

Yes sir, very positive and know the outcome! I saw where this was going before I designed the action plan. We installed a referral program. The referral program was introduced yesterday to people who post their ads. This superseded our verbal referral program that we had in place. The carrot, is a page that people go to immediately after posting a free ad or standard plus. It has brief instructions stating that your ad has been e-mailed to your inbox for your approval. This means that if something’s wrong with it you can repost or fix it. We are making the posters e-mail us back stating “ okay ”. This is important because if they don’t, the ad will not go live. We did this on purpose because we don’t want future matches to land in these spam boxes. Do you understand? If they respond to us, this means their browser, security system, system, system company/FTP provider will recognize us as friends more or less. Getting back to the referrals we have collected 204 referrals so far! We make the people sign up at click bank! They enter their click bank ID, hit the button and WAM!!

    ReplyDelete
  119. an e-mail goes out from them with a copy of their ad stating, they used our service and are very happy. Asking their friends to join us. Think about this for one second this will spread like a virus! Moving forward we’re working on Google analytics today along with other changes. First off we undid the changes fill and I installed on the preview pages. We gave the people too many choices and the result was a bunch of five dollar ads and free ads. My mistake! I was trying to lower the amount of people we lose in the final. I realized that it was only a difference of about 10 people we lost but the money was substantial. Analytics had to be changed because we installed two preview pages. We got rid of the choose your visibility pages. We moved the $30 subscription, the $5 trial and the five- dollar page. So to track results we had to definitely change up analytics

  120. www.thebartertown.net . Is being built to not rely on paid advertisement. What I mean by this are systems like, add words, YouTube video promotions, paid targeted e-mail campaigns etc. The power of referrals is much greater. We’re also going to install social media like Facebook and twitter is part of our standard plus package. It will allow you to share what you have for sale with your friends and ours to. www.thebartertown.net Is a highbred website, a cross between Google, craigslist, eBay, the car business and the timeshare business. I’ve taken the best of all these businesses and roll them up into one.

  121. The front page. Our bounce rate has been hovering around 70% to 60% continuously. A good friend and trusted colleague went to www.thebartertown.net. He gave me some strong, sound advice. he stated that people want to see results before they have to perform an action. I can relate to this, in this day and age people want things now and are very skittish when it comes to the Internet!, with good reason. To solve this we installed a table that rotates the last 20 ads excluding the adult section on the first page. This will allow people to see action and adds being posted in near real time. This is called “ herd effect “ they don’t want to be left out because if they are maybe that lion will grab them! We’ll see how this works hopefully it drops the bounce rate in half which will then give us plenty more opportunity to earn money via people posting, then more referrals and we will have the circle effect going on making the paid advertisement obsolete.

Great news today! It is snowing again, here in Atlantic City ;) I love the snow. It reminds me of when I was young. Somehow I’ve tied snow with good memories. This is what strings us together you know, associations. We link things with certain memories. For instance when you break up with a boyfriend or girlfriend you either remember all the good times which then brings you back into the circle of death! Or you start to associate that person with very bad things! That’s when it’s over. Then and only then by the way.
That’s how we make decisions. We make them with associations. For instance, I

    ReplyDelete
  124. associate the Home Depot with home improvement not to the corner hardware store. So when I’m trying to fix my house, guess where I go? Of course Home Depot. The key is to link or get people to link the Barter town with selling their item, service etc. we will do this through word-of-mouth, referrals, the Internet pages that the site throws out every time someone posts a new ad. ( The site creates a new webpage to be viewed by search engines ) for added exposure. We also have the referral program that is up in rock in! That will definitely be the biggest way of Our advertisement campaigns. Someone can make a quick $300 in one week doing this. Anyway people are now associating eBay and craigslist with selling their item and promoting their ad. The question is not how can I compete with them. The question is how do I take over the classified marketplace. The answer is the same answer that has been there forever and business. Offer them, the public something different, cheaper and something that works better. The outcome can only be success with this line of thinking and actions. We will use nor logical associations to achieve this. I believe will be successful in a very short period of time. The goal is to link The Barter Town .net to success in selling your items or services. This is exactly what craigslist did. EBay also achieved the same. People now have neurological associations with these two sites when it comes to selling or promoting something. We will do the same but much much better. Google analytics is down for my site today because we change some pages so the numbers will be incorrect if I go over those for www.thebartertown.net. I can tell you that a lot of traffic is coming from the pages that the site optimize for individual ads. We have a plug-in that grabs keywords that search engine and use and optimizes individual webpages. Each ad gets its own page which means if someone googles what they’re looking for. The barter

In our quest for simplicity we forgot one major component to e-commerce. “Don’t forget to sell the product!” We got so focused on how to make the site so the most computer illiterate person could post their ad that we neglected to sell the product prior to asking for the money! To make matters worse we had a bad day on Monday. I then changed some key things that I thought were not key things. Example; I should have never taken the five dollar one-time Ad option away. I did it because a lot of her ads were coming in with five dollars. I thought we were taking away the value of membership. Silly me

    ReplyDelete
  127. because when I did that our numbers went in the toilet! I forgot that some people will only place one Ad therefore I alienated people by trying to sell them something that they would never use again or could not afford. Also the five dollars next to the $30 annual,, presented a choice and choices are much less hard to make then decisions. It’s also built value into the annual subscription. We also on the page where you upload your photos added on the right-hand side some information. We removed the iPAd giveaway because someone capitalized on this. We replaced it with, “ Things to know before you post” this explains how people find things on the Internet. Truthfully most people don’t think about this before they place an online ad! So I took it upon myself to break it down to the ridiculous for them. Here’s what it states, click this link, http://www.thebartertown.net/page-2/

    ReplyDelete
  128. to see it live. It quickly educates people on the need to know. It then explains what is classified ads 2.0. I was careful to position the “solution” for the question posed above it, the solution is 2.0 which is the package that we put together that blows away! Craigslist and eBay’s product. Moving on I noticed in Google analytics that we were losing 30% of the people on the first “ standard plus - 2.0 “ preview page. So I did some radical and took the price away again therefore you can look at that page and make a decision whether you want it or not, if price was not an issue! This is very important! timeshare sales 101 and a little bit of the car business rolled into one. The theory is, they would make a decision i.e. “ will this benefit may “ prior to the price being a factor. Of course the answer is “ yes “. We also added my phone number and e-mail address all over the site. www.thebartertown.net It is plastered with this information so I may help people in their quest of placing an ad. I also barraged them with a slew of questions when they call. What made you do it?, how did you find out about us?, what made you choose a free ad over standard plus?, if it was less money would you have done it?, could you give us any helpful hints with our site?, want with the site have to do in order for you to spend money? Stuff like that, invaluable information. The next change we made was the verbiage over the posting box, prior to today it did not say “ No login or sign-up required. Post your 2.0 add in less than four minutes Or less.” This then makes people feel like it’s not a job to post on www.thebartertown.net

    ReplyDelete
  129. www.thebartertown.net. Remember our bounce rate target from prior development diaries entries. The goal is 30% bounce rate. We have been hovering around 70% inception to date. Average from December 9 through yesterday January 8, 2011 we have been exactly at 69.40 bounce rate. Today www.thebartertown.net bounce rate is 61.83%. Our goal for the process of posting per visitor is 25%. We are currently at 23% up from an average of 13% 10-14-10 to 01-09-10 . So you tell me? Is it getting better I know the site is making much more money now, I like to think it’s because of the changes we’ve made of course. moving forward we will also be asking for phone numbers of posters. This is tricky I fear if I make it mandatory we will lose people. So I will make it optional for now. I will call each poster and asked them how they heard about us, why did in May by or why did they buy. I am going to design a link that goes into their e-mail that allows them to upgrade. I am going to “what if” the people, what if

    ReplyDelete
  130. we could do that price? The one you just told me. Would you upgrade than? If they say yes they can click the link or I will send the new one. This will give me great insight on the site’s performance and how people perceive value in our product. This will be very painful because there are lots of posts every day but you only get out of something what you put into it! Hopefully it pays off. There is so much more I would like to say today but I just can’t. Save it for tomorrow :)

Amazing day yesterday! Very weird had some brief technical problems in the morning with some quick changes! Thank God we chose right! Our goal is 25% of the people who hit the site, to move on and post. We were going to obtain this number by reducing the bounce rate. Remember our bounce rate was around 70% now it is about 60%. This immediately raised our penetration ( opportunity to make money ) by 11 points. Huge and getting huger :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. Moving forward, got an e-mail from Go Daddy.com regarding suspected spam! I was worried about this when we implemented the new referral system. Every one I believe is behaving themselves but unfortunately that JavaScript problem with the button was not implemented till it was too late. Somebody reported us when in fact it was a referral. There is no way for me to protect ourselves against this except for having I-Contact.com send a subscription notice to these new referrals. This is exactly what I did at six o’clock this morning. So far we have a huge response of opt in traffic so it’s good. We got this new thing for referrals that I would love to tell you about. We build something that is beyond beautiful. We actually are creating our own market. Here’s the flow. ( In theory ) Someone comes to the site to post an ad. They go through the motions and as they are about to post a free ad on www.thebartertown.net. They are redirected to a page that states “ while we are posting your ad “ “would you like to make and extra $1000 this week” of course they’re going to say yes! When they do they will be

    ReplyDelete
  133. prompted to the sign-up form with more information. After this to click bank so they can join as a member. This will cost them $30 for one year. With this they will get the opportunity to make up to $1000 per week and also all the benefits of “ membership “ along with the 2.0 package. Which by the way our Referral system does not work without because of the visibility people get outside of our website on the web. Once they sign up they will be given instruction, for example; each referral is worth $15. The referrals they give will then be washed via I-CONTACT.COM. They all will be sent something like this. “ Your friend ( new member ) has invited you to make an extra thousand dollars this week. Click here to subscribe. Once the subscriber opts in, they will be directed to the same page that the referrer started at. They will be given the opportunity to become members. $30 Again and again and again anybody would spend $30 to make 1000 this week.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Of course there will be a brief instruction page. This will do two things number one, spread the good word of The Barter Town . Net. Give people a real income! They cannot fail, it is all handled by click bank and easy to do. This will boost the popularity of our site for free! This will provide an income for struggling families. This will promote the greater good which always prevails. Righteous I think, think were on the right track. once the people are signed up and give us referrals they will see it works! They will be excited! We will then via autoresponder give them plenty of click bank products to promote on our site www.thebartertown.net. The reason why stated our referral program does not work without 2.0 is this. The products they’re going to sell need to be visible if someone searches on their browser bar, Google or Yahoo etc. So you understand the click bank products will be out on the net as well. So how do we grow the list that’s easy. People that come to the site and search then leave or start posting them leave also have registered their e-mail address with www.thebartertown.net because the site saves this information to e-mail them once something is posted in the category they searched for! New results. This not only brings them back to the site but also gives us the opportunity to use I- Contact.com to pitch the income again. They are sent and opt in form that asked if they want to subscribe to ( title ) We are looking for a few people to make an extra thousand dollars this week.
( Body ) “www.thebartertown.net is looking for some people that want to make an extra thousand dollars this week. Subscribe for more detail.” Once they do that it’s on!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Any successful person capitalizes on what’s going on in society! So if I can’t get them to see the value in membership via ad posting. I will get them to do what I want them to do another way. I’m getting them to be a member but asking them in a different way. The greatest thing about this and what makes me feel wonderful is that it definitely works. It’s not like one of those things you see on Saturday morning ( I bought them all ) :) lol this is the real deal that supplies a real market that we created. Now the mad scientist and I, Philip are going to have a affiliate Center on this site. We will then be able to sell the people who are happy, who are making money products to help their small business. 50% commission on $500 are products for doing nothing. Remember what I said yesterday or the day before, ( if you get them to reach in their pocket for a small amount, you can have them reach deeper and deeper.) In the end they will make money.

Helps everybody out! You reap what you sow.

What’s that song by Ricky Martin? Shake your bum bum or something? What a day! Like a father watching his child take the first step. This site has well surpassed my expectations, and dreams. It was well thought out. I should have expected this result but you try to stay humble, you know. So far the site has well surpassed the existing sites like it. Only leaving eBay and Craigslist, not for long.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Yesterday was an unbelievable day because a lot of our goals are being hit. This is a huge accomplishment for us and makes me feel very confident moving forward. I feel today like I already hit the lottery! I’m on my way to Trenton now to collect a check, you know what I mean?! :) I hope so! What a feeling.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Anyway goals meant, penetration peaked at 25%. This is the amount of people who posted and gave us a shot to earn their business. I directly contribute to our success the reduction in bounce rate. It is now under 60% which is a milestone. This means 40% of the people who come decide to either search or post. New versus old users for just yesterday has gone to 24.73% returning! This is huge and we directly contribute this to the site’s ability to notify people of something that became available after the search.
Average time on the site blew past the goal and wOND up at Four minutes and 22 seconds. Google ORGANIC visitors are way up. They’re up because the webpages that the site creates for premium members ( who posT standard +2.0 adds only ) are now showing up in results and want someone searches for or what they want outside of us, this then pulls up member adS. Amazing day absolutely amazing. There so many more results but these are the ones I am concentrating on now.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Changes were going to make today the 11th. Right now someone posts an ad and we instruct them to go to their inbox. We then instruct them to reply ( okay ) we do this for two reasons. The first reason is obvious, we want to make sure the ad is okay. The second reason is so our e-mails to them in the future do not go to spam. We are going to add some things to the e-mail they receive. Standard posters ( free ) will get a copy of their ad as of tomorrow the 12th with three separate links. We will also add to the instructions “ add us to your phonebook “ the reason for this is purely spam related. If we are in their phonebook then we definitely are not spam. Link number one is going to be “ viewed your ad on Google Yahoo and Bing “ when they click that link you will go to a page that states “ 00ps “ do chose not to go with “ 2.0 “ click here to upgrade. There will be two buttons only. One for five dollars and one for $30. The second link in the standard ad posters e-mail will be to upgrade. The third link will be “ EDIT “ this AD. this

    ReplyDelete
  141. will bring them to a page that states, only members can edit their ads for security purposes. There will be a link there to become a member and instructions on how to change their ad without paying. They will e-mail their changes to our customer service e-mail address. Premium members email proof will have changes as well. There’ll be a link that states, “ did you make $300 this week? “ Bringing them to the referral page of course. The second link will be to edit or ad landing them on the same page as free standard ad posters get. This is how we will get single ad posters who paid five dollars only to upgrade to membership.

More changes we have made. We included the location and phone number visible on the home page. We still make it impossible to click on the ad on the home page. We do not want people to bypass our “ e-mail capture system “ we made a lot of maintenance changes as well. I answer my phone every time someone calls because these calls are filled with invaluable information. I suggest you do the same.

Men thank God! Really thank God! I’m thankful for everything that I have that’s for sure! But never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be blessed enough to have such a prosperous small business! Just goes to show that you reap what you sow. There is no truer statement. 143. Income for the public. If you have been following us we built a beautiful word press website called www.thebartertown.net. It is absolutely magnificent! It allows people to post a free ad anywhere in the nation. I know that idea has already been taking 100 times right?. Wrong because that was only stage one of the “back door” approach of selling membership and employment. Did you know in New Jersey where I come from the unemployment rate is 9.5% as of January 12, 2011? It’s true unfortunately Atlantic County where I’m from, Atlantic City is much higher. This made me think and ponder..... what do people need and how do we get it to them. Truthfully without taking advantage of people how do we help people and turn a profit doing it? When I mean turn a profit I mean pay my light bill and my rent and maybe my car payment. www.thebartertown.net Has turned into a great way to make an income. I told you that we started a page for referrals. Now we started a page that is nothing short of genius. There are all kinds of online scams that’s for sure! This is definitely not one of them. Here’s how we put it into place. First people arrived at the site and have full intention of placing a free ad. That’s all well and good and we encourage that! Once they publish their ads they will come to a beautiful page that will definitely get you out of your “ reptilian brain “ or defensive mechanism posture. Here is the address; http://www.thebartertown.net/work-for-bt-2/. It is a true work of art! Next with humor and must see. Next if you choose, and you will! To

  144. see what it’s about you go to http://www.thebartertown.net/guaranteed-income/. This is a magnificent page that takes a slice out of cutting edge car sales! It takes away all of the ammunition people have against making money online. Doesn’t tell you what to do it tells you what you don’t have to do! I am very satisfied with this page. At the bottom of the page it asks you to become a member. Remember we just ask you to become a member but you did not see the value, therefore you declined! Now we will ask you in a different way! Magnificent and very backdoor. We don’t ask questions you can say no to! Every question on this website is “closed and” for instance; “could you use an extra thousand dollars this week?” The answer is yes. Don’t kid yourself everyone and I don’t care who it is can use an extra geewhiz this week! It’s a stroke of genius and only could be put together by and x time-share/used car salesperson like myself! And a Internet pirate like Philip Light. Now this means if we have 1000 people posting, per day! We will have then asked the people if they want to become a member via promoting classified ads. If they say in “no” we will then asked them to become a member in a different way by the promise of an income. Genius and completely in touch with the times.

  145. Any successful person has figured out “ trends “ in society and catered to, supplied what people need at that given time. That’s exactly what we did with this site. We recognize that people are selling their stuff. Huge market! We also recognize everyone can use extra money now! We then supplied that service to them. Do you get it? Do you understand? This is how people like Donald Trump and Bill Gates did it! They focused on the result! The questions they asked themselves were not how do I make money. It was how do I capitalize on this niche market. Remember I created www.thebartertown.net a round a huge market! Not the other way around. I did not try to create a new market with no demand. Be conscious of this and learn. You can’t sell cowboy boots to people with no feet! Find a market and something that works. Copy that and make it better! You are destined to win.

Every day I started out by saying what I’m thankful for. I tried to pray whenever I can! I’m always conscious of good and bad things that happened. This is a lifestyle! So I notice things that happened that absolutely can’t be things that I have created. I do knowledge help.

On January 11, 2011 www.thebartertown.net has succeeded every goal we set. It isn’t struggling past the goals it actually took a giant light speed leap. With thousands of people hitting the home page, we still have blown by our bounce rate goal and are penetration goal for people posting. ( This is how we make money ), have to go over four hours to explain all the numbers in Google analytics so I will paraphrase. Amount of people or percentage that proceeded to post their item was 27% average which far exceeds our goal of 25% which by the way is absolutely unheard of for a conversion rate. Our bounce rate is now at an average of 59.60 which is down 13% with the new

    ReplyDelete
  147. changes we made. See the earlier diary notes for details. Traffic sources are now flowing from multiple directions! The people are coming from Google organic, referrals, be back visitors, you name it and they’re there. Traffic is up by 400%! So tell me, do I have reason to safely assume divine intervention? I believe I have been anointed again to succeed.

Changes in previews of pages where installing as of January 14, 2011! Every website needs to tell a story! Let’s face it all sites our books, online books with pop-ups! Right it’s that simple you’re either going to read the book or not right. So let me lay out a story for you. We asked the people three times to become members. In the very back door noninvasive way. So when they say no, we have to ask them to become members again but in a much different way. One constant in this economy is everybody’s looking to make an extra buck! Myself as a CEO and “street guy” consider myself just smart enough to watch trends in our society. For instance not to get off the subject, but healthcare! Baby boomers have made this the field to be in! How would you know? Pay attention! So what else do people need, obvious answer money. If someone did not see the value in membership then maybe they would see the value in membership if we offered them an income? Ha,, what do you think? Makes sense right, I’m given a shot. Here’s the flow.

Before I give you the flow this really works and in no way shape or form is a scam! Nor is it a pyramid!

  148. So people come to the home page www.thebartertown.net. They like what they see and begin to post. They decide that our 2.0 product is definitely good but for one reason or the other day don’t buy. They post their ads, here is the page they land on now. http://www.thebartertown.net/work-for-bt-2/ The page is magnificent and a must see, if they are in a bad mood the hope is this will bring them into their “ mid-brain and upper brain “ this is the part of your brain where you make decisions and laugh, your creative side the opposite of your lower brain “reptilian” which is the fight or flight portion. So they pick “Yes I need money” or “No loaded already” obviously if they click no they get redirected to the home page. If they click yes they go to this masterpiece that talk of whole day to talk through. Like I said I’ve been in sales forever so I know all the ammunition people use to justify why not to trust making money online offers. Here is the page. http://www.thebartertown.net/guaranteed-income/ You must see this page! It tells them all the things that they do not have to do in order to make money! It leaves them very fulfilled but curious, wanting to learn more. Once they’ve clicked yes they are directed to Click Bank to become a member of www.thebartertown.net. C. what I just did? I just made them sign up! Because they SAW the value in an income! But did not see the value in our enhanced advertisement package. If the people said “ I can’t afford this right now “ then they cannot say “ I can’t afford to make money right now “ you get it! So after they sign up they come to a page with a fistful of money and you have to see the page to believe it! It provides real-time results and explains the first technique, “Technique # 1” which instantly makes you feel like there is more, and oh there is! :) But for now we are going to lead them in this direction because they will instantly make money and tell people about us. Remember most of our traffic for now is coming from referral business. So this whole story starts with someone referring the site. Or another site referring you.

Okay that’s enough for now! Please excuse the misspelled words and incorrect grammar! Remember these are my personal web development notes. Oh yeah forgot to tell you I’m weird! I talked myself into third-party, not sure what to do about this LOL

Picking up where I left off yesterday! We are implementing this new referral system and asking the people to buy in a different way. This definitely will be successful no question about it and confident and fateful.

Switching gears with a small problem. Our columns are being worked on now. What I mean by that is they have to match up with the blogs and when someone changes their ad in the member station, it has to change their blog out there in the stratosphere. We worked on that while we are waiting for ClickBank to approve our new product, product number six which is the second class of members “ the people who signed up for the promise of income “ of course we had to separate them because depending on why they are at the website determines which page they will land on. Remember we have people sending referrals, the referrals will land on a different page than people whom became members for the 2.0 advertisement package advantages. So we are working on everything and make in it smooth.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Problem number two, people complaining that their ad body will not save. This is probably a problem in the code which Philip is looking into at the moment. We have a punch out list that we work on while things like ClickBank approve pages and products. The list is getting smaller every day.

Simple ads, we are going to add a page that notifies logged in members that they were successful in posting there aD. This page will also remind them to refer people each time they post. You have to ask we will not receive.

Very uneventful today the 14th so far but let’s go over the numbers from yesterday the 13th!

27% of the people who came to www.thebartertown.net perceive it to cost. This is very important because this is how we funnel people through the sale process and also now are referral process. If this number does not continually increase, to break it down to the ridiculous for this super simple, for you this means we are not growing. So this number is watched carefully! Our bounce rate Has plummeted again thank God and I mean that! It is at 56.63% down from an average of 73% or thereabouts. 20 points better. This means 20% of the people are either searching, posting etc. either way it’s all good. Tomorrow my notes will be much longer I’m sure. Good stuff coming very happy with what’s going on here.

Rough day yesterday but full of success! Remember if you learn something you have succeeded! Only 740 people came to our home page? Wonder why, tested the whole site this morning to make sure there are no malfunctions. Maybe this is just the flow of our site? Last Saturday was also slow. No never mind I can’t get into that frame of mind, I must figure out Saturday’s. I have to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen. The question lies, on how we do it. I think I need to explore my actions over the last two Saturdays and fix it fast. Last Saturday the eighth, was a very light day as well. I’m going to walk through the advertisements step-by-step and tweak it. Although the 15th was a much better day than the eighth, let’s try a special promotion for Saturday’s only. No because then people will wait till Saturday to post. Something else, I know I’ll advertise differently on Friday for Saturday’s traffic. Let’s give this a shot.

Anyway results from yesterday via Google analytics for the performance of www.thebartertown.net. Trial and error. Look through prior notes to see the changes we made to obtain these results.

25% of the people who came to the site proceeded to post an ad. This is definitely a milestone and new norm. Our goal for the future is below this.
We lost 38 people in the posting process. This seems to be a very hard problem to fix. If we take away our aggressiveness then we lose money. We need to find a balance somewhere. Today we are installing a new image upload system which should cut down dramatically on the amount of people we lose on the second page which is the page we use to upload the photos And description. We’re going to install our new system hopefully today regarding, asking the people if they want to make money. I believe this will triple its not quadruple our penetration for membership.

Google organic visitors has doubled as well from last week to 40% of our traffic which is huge! Remember we don’t spend one dime for advertisement. Radar prior notes to find out how we achieved this. This in itself is worth the read. I figured out it would have cost me $10,000 per week to obtain the same results we accomplished with our referral system for free.

  160. Massively successful day today! Very happy with the success and changes we have made. www.thebartertown.net It’s coming along nicely and becoming a premium site for people looking to buy sell and trade. We have succeeded lowering our bounce rate to 54.66%. It is a 20% decrease in people coming than staying for less than 10 seconds and leaving. The average time on the site now is five minutes and 5 seconds. Just two months ago the average time was two minutes and 30 seconds. This leads me to believe the changes that we are making like, adding text on the front page over the posting box. Check out prior articles for complete list of what we did to lower our bounce rate.

  161. Traffic sources, traffic sources are now coming from all sides. I feel like I’m at the Alamo lol surrounded! Very good and definitely part of the plan. I chose WordPress because it would allow me to create a separate page exclusive and unique to each ad that is posted. This will be indexed via Google, Yahoo etc. the site will be easily found like ask.com. The difference is we are achieving our goals at light speed.

Customer satisfaction rate. www.thebartertown.net Is a unique site down to my personal phone number on every page. I cannot tell you how many people called me and immediately upon us picking up the phone stated “ okay I’m buying! “ They just wanted to hear a human being on the other line. This seems to be common sense right? Well go out and find another website that does this. Puts their contact information on every page. Good luck with that. I find it refreshing speaking to people because then I can get vital feedback on the site. Not some but all of the changes that we have made have come from the collective complaints and opinions from people. This is very important information and I am blessed to have had a premonition and opportunity to capitalize on this idea.

  162. So you know our conversion rate now is up to 27%. This is a feat that craigslist, eBay, back page etc. has not and could not accomplish when it comes to classified ad publishing. Bold statement I know but it all starts with a product. A product packaged in a neat bundle wrapped in a nice bow. We found a market and now customized a website to serve that market! Not the other way around. The product is does standard +2.0. The neat package is definitely the smooth posting system we have implemented Along with the easy to use and different site. The bow is our member’s ability to call us at any given time and we will answer the phone.

  164. Okay! Fun filled day of change that’s for sure! Finally got approval from ClickBank on our new product! Product number six :) woooooooooooooo. lol, this is the product that I told you about in prior articles that allows people to join us for an income that really works. Not one of these TV scams or one of these of affiliate programs that don’t work! A real way of making money that once you join you up immediately see how it works with proof. No long drawn out stupid things to do just immediate results. Something so easy your grandmom can do it. In a nutshell if you introduce us to your friends, family cohorts. We will pay you $15 for real all tracked by our friends at ClickBank via Hop link.

This serves a dual purpose kind of like the boats coming out of Chico Columbia. They’re supposed to be empty on the way to the Panama Canal! But guess what they’re filled with? lol This makes these boats dole purpose because on the way back there filled with supplies for the island. Well our moneymaking proposition is also dual purpose. Purpose number one, spreads the good word of employment and www.thebartertown.net. Purpose number two and more important. Provides an income for people who cannot afford to pay $3.10 per gallon of gasoline or cannot leave their house or are collecting unemployment. I hope people make a lot of money I truly do. I would never ever put this out there unless it truly truly worked. I would go back to sell cars first, I mean that.

  165. Let’s talk about our bounce rate! Down to 52.46% amazing 22% less. Take a good guess why? To help your site and small business please read the articles prior to this one to see all the changes that we have made from the infinite wisdom of the mad scientist! Philip Lite myself Scott Lubik and most importantly our member base.

We’re going to rebuild the site that’s apparent because of the hugely successful nature of this venture. Before we do that we need to explore all areas of making money. That’s what it’s all about anyway isn’t it. We’re looking for a new name and would love for some input because we are stomped.

Changes we have decided to make. If you have been reading our articles then you would know we have made multiple changes! Most have been for the good sum has been for the very bad. We’ve documented all of them so you can read through and make these changes to your small business without spending one dime! You reap what you sow and I feel the good nature of this will pay off in the end. I think some CEO somewhere will read this and contact me or more importantly some small-business owner in his kitchen like I am will benefit from this without spending $550 Dollars per day like I have over the past year.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Check out this change were going to make! So you know the site creates a separate webpage for each ad ( standard +2.0 ) which according to Google analytics now is showing up in search engine results. Let’s face it people Google everything. Therefore the niche is providing a service to people who already believe and classified ads. You provide more exposure. Simple but we have a huge amount of people posting ads for free. I have recently implemented a way to make money to target these people after they declined to spend $30 or five dollars on our top-of-the-line product. So now here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to start submitting the free ads which are standard, to the search engines as well. Once they are indexed with the search engines I will then send an e-mail to those posters. Here’s what it’s going to say.

View your ad on Google, Yahoo etc. they will click the link and the link will take them directly to the page where they are listed, ( live on results ) and then it will say “ if you do not upgrade this ad we will take down and remove you from search engine results pages “ ha ha what do you think I think it’s a stroke of genius.

Fear of loss is twice as strong as prospect for gain!

Okay, of course a magnificent day yesterday once again. Lots of momentum on the good stuff that we have done. Big problem though with the program are designed for our owners to make money. See this is exactly what I’m talking about how some people ruin it for everyone else. That may explain.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I created a program for our members to make a realistic number of $500-$1000 per week. There’s no purchase necessary except for the membership fee. The technique of making money on using is the same one that got me through some very bad times. So I know firsthand that it works. Let me go over the numbers so far with you that we piloted the program with. We dispersed an opt in mail or to 5000 people. 269 people said yes we want more information. We then designed a program which I explained in detail in earlier articles. So far 94 people opened their mail and 83 people clicked the link for more information. Unfortunately not one person has gone ahead and signed up? I don’t know what to say? I thought people needed money? Could it be that they just don’t trust? Or something else? Anyway I’m going to deploy a survey to those 269 people wants most of those are opened. I will ask them why they did not move forward with the process. I’m going to have to give away memberships I think. We will say I’m very interested to find out.

  170. 29% conversion rate! Speaks for itself probably one of the highest conversion rates on the Internet. Referral rate is 45.52% this is our free advertisement. Our bounce rate is 52.48% speaks for itself! To view our history and how we got these excellent results please read the prior articles.

Personal note. I answer the phone every day all day. It’s just me in my kitchen for now. On the backend it’s Philip whom it is creating what I am designing from the thoughts and suggestions of our visitors. We are in touch with the times and max attentive of what’s going on in our country which ultimately will lead us to a product and service which cannot fail. Stay the course keeps popping in my mind when I think about changing something drastic. Our name www.thebartertown.net is getting out there and there’s a slight problem. We are a .net company which will always be second to a .com company! I called the owner of thebartertown.com an asked him if he would like to sell the name. He said no so I think I’m going to have to change my name because I don’t want traffic that we create to wind up on some shady website. Blastville.com seems to come to me as something that we can package up and sell. We can sell the “ Blast packages “ different levels and this kind of fits or really fits with noro responders, associations strategies. For instance someone says “I’m going to list my house for sale” and someone else says “just put it on Blastville.com” after a while that becomes second nature and make sense! You were blasted to everybody. Phil just gave me another good idea that we talked about but he just “ got it “ how about “sparkitmarket.com”, I love it! But we just have to make sure we can integrate packages that make sense like “ classifieds 2.0 “ after all we have to offer everything in one neat little package with a nice bow! remember! Read the prior articles and this will make sense.

Fun filled eventful day today! Especially when someone tries to steal your website. So I’m on the phone helping a Manhattan based realtor and for the life of me I could not figure out why she was having problems I mean I made this site ridiculously simple to use. Down to the buttons that all say “ click here “ you know what I mean. So finally I got Phil to call her back. She got someone else to assist her in the office because she was feeling like it was her fault. That was nice of her because most people would’ve just said “forget this”. Anyway Philip tells the other person to go to www.thebartertown.net. The other person says “ I’ll just go to the site she was on www.thebartertown36.tk ! WOW. so anyway we go to the site! It’s amazing it’s the same exact thing as we have, not only

So we find out after reporting it to the whole world! The site is hosted out of the Netherlands. Also they are operating a program called “Window” which allows people to operate a website within a window which gives them some control and explains how the site acts and feels like ours.

Jerk! It’s okay though that’s why we are who we are and they are who they are! We just now make sure JavaScript says “ if you’re operating this site within a window, redirect to www.thebartertown.net.

Okay then! Stunning performance yesterday! Very happy but had some negative feedback from some people who purchased the $30 membership. Mary W. told me that when she logs in and places an ad, she does not want anyone to know who she is! She also wants her contact e-mail address to be different than her registration e-mail address. When we built the system we build it to make money and to be easy for us to track. This means people would not have to worry about an ad number. They could just use their e-mail address and pull all their ads. This works great but not everyone is a fan. Going to have to change this for the rebuild I’m afraid. Also Mary used a separate e-mail address to place her first ad before she purchased a membership. She logged in and could not find her first ad. This is now become a problem for us with a handful of people. Seems to me we need to make our system capture their e-mail address for the word press registration. This means on our first page or e-mail address gets logged and recorded as an ad being started. Our system then keeps that until you add is posted and or they purchase. Unfortunately if they register with Word press with a different e-mail address then once logged in that ad does not appear in the air member station. I can see the future! If we change this to a system that recognizes ad IDs and not e-mail addresses, people will wind up losing the ID and then will not be able to find their ad. I think the answer is to set up a system that recognizes both.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Moving on! Got a great idea, I have been kicking around changing the site’s name. Currently www.thebartertown.net his very popular but not for trading surprisingly. People are posting thousands of ads for sale or service. we have not had anybody choose the “ I would trade for “ in weeks. I am so happy that when I created this I did not alienate the people who are selling service or items. If I had done this we would have gone out of business already. I’m afraid our bounce rate we’ll the higher because people may say “ I don’t want to trade I want to sell my service or item “. I know for a fact this is happening because I answer my phone and people always ask if they can just sell on this site. We do have the “match feature” already built in which is outstanding! This is when someone wants to trade, they would put in what they would trade for. The system then matches both ads and e-mails both parties. If both parties match for what they are looking for its golden! So I’m not going to delete this feature from the site ever. I am just going to not advertise it as much. Here’s the solution I believe will lower the bounce rate to about 10% immediately! Change the name and not the product! We have a great product which is the 2.0 standard plus ad. It is unique and can not be duplicated by any other classified website. They would have to completely redo their site which for These entities is impossible. read prior articles to get details of 2.0 standard plus ads. now the tricky part is making people feel like they are joining something but not charging them for it. They need to feel like they’re paying for an awesome product that they can not get anywhere else. That’s the key to our success so far. I have the word “town” in our domain name which leads people to believe that they would have to join that town maybe. But it gives them a sense of being a part of something. This is very important! Remember we ultimately sell memberships which allows us to Re-Bill those same people next year. This is important believe me, sitting back earning residual income is the way to go. Anyway here’s what I was thinking.

  176. www.buynsellclub.com I bought the domain already along with all of the variable domains that go with it. .org, .net etc. now here’s what I just did, buy and sell are in the domain name which I can even tell you how much it helps for search engine optimization. Remember someone is going to Google “ sell my car “ now I have that covered. Someone will Google “ buy a new car “ I got that covered! I also kept people with the feeling that they belong! “ Club “ this is one of the essential human needs.
.com is always more powerful than anything else! So I think it’s a go! Please tell me what you think? Thanks.

  179. Stupid complaints from stupid people! ( Administrator@eci.technologies.com )

    Re-bogus complaint for spamming.
There is this company out there undoubtedly not making a penny am very mad at anyone who is successful. Clearly you could look up and see that you would not be on www.thebartertown.net but they were redirected to www.thebartertown36.tk . So normally this would not make me mad but the person who reported us to Go Daddy obviously knows what they’re doing. So maybe they should have done a little more research before they started Hating on my site. Administrator@eci.technologies.com
are the idiots! They are probably the ones who created the.tk copy. Anyway they reported us wants a couple weeks ago and I reached out and told them about the situation. Then the dummy does it again! Stupid hateful unbelievable! The good news is Go Daddy.com recognizes the problem and they are just wasting their time with these useless complaints. Maybe Administrator@eci.technologies.com should concentrate more on his own website.

  180. Anyway enough of that negative stuff! It’s against my religion to dwell on that. Let’s talk about the good stuff! If you have been reading prior articles you’ll see we have talked about a name change for www.thebartertown.net . We have gotten with our other experts and almost all agree that one of the reasons why our bounce rate continues to hover in the low 50s is because people only think it is a trading site. www.buynsell.com Is much cleaner and we can spin it like a buyout with a press release! This should give us a huge balance in traffic. In theory it should create action and intrigue. I’m hoping to get this handled soon. I love the name for all kinds of reasons mostly it’s simplicity and direct obviousness of the theme of the site. Lots of names out there that without a lot of money spent in Web, TV etc. advertisement people just would not put two and two together.

  182. Loving what you do and responsible with the gifts you’re given.

Man I love my job! I am so happy that I get to do what I want when I want and how I want while raising my three kids. I’m so happy! The truth is “you reap what you sow” . I keep these diaries for lots of reasons. I can honestly say the main reason why I keep these diaries is if I help just one person whom does not have the money to do the research I have done but has the drive. If I can help that one person fulfill his or her dreams or just put food on the table, it gives me one of the essential human needs. The need to contribute. These web development notes are definitely worth thousands and thousands of dollars. When you hear of big companies paying marketing experts hundreds of thousands of dollars to figure out and appeal to a certain niche, they are talking about me or guys like me whom go in and increase sales by 400%. So pay attention this is very valuable information. Trial and error without the risk.

  183. Okay let’s talk about the performance of www.thebartertown.net right now!

According to Google analytics! Our penetration for conversion has fluctuated but instead he around 30% daily. If you know anything about web development or websites you know the best of the best sites only have a 10% to 20% conversion. This is with them spending thousands and thousands of dollars for Advertisement. We spend $350 per week.

  184. Traffic sources have been consistently one-sided with our referral system. Google organic is definitely picking up because of the way we designed our system to reach out and touch someone. Our bounce rate is in the low 50s our time on site has maintained the five-minute mark now foR days. There’s lots of data here and lots of changes we’ve made. To get 29% plus return visitors to your site within a three-month period is definitely genius and some divine intervention.

Please read prior articles to understand and apply what we have gone to get these outstanding results.

  185. Anyway today is Sunday and myself and my three kids are on our way to St. Nicholas Church in Atlantic City New Jersey on Pacific Avenue. I give 10% to this church and bring my kids there almost every Sunday. I always catch flak from one person or another about giving 10% of my gross income to the Catholic Church. I always ask why, just for the sheer curiosity. The answer is always the same, “ You’re crazy to you know what you could do with that money? “ the truth is it’s not my money and I would not even exist without a creator. Therefore for me to go through this life without giving back is not only ridiculous! But ignorant, I’m just smart enough to realize that with my 163 IQ.

Touch of the flu! Anyway I’m sick! I have not been sick for 10 years. So I’m lagging a little bit with these web development notes. Let’s talk about Google analytics for one second. www.thebartertown.net It is all wired in to this essential tool for web development. Every page of www.thebartertown.net it is being documented. This serves many purposes, most importantly the purpose of telling us if our changes worked or not. Without this we would just be guessing. Second is the ability to have everything documented so when someone comes to by us out we have what we need. The buyers can just read through the whole development of the site. I’m not planning on selling! But everything is for sale :) I tell you now I would turn down 500,000 cash. And the reason for this is, the trends and the upward trends of this site. You got a couple thousand people per day coming to the site to post or search from all directions. It’s very hard to accomplish in three months. Our referral program really works and puts money into people’s pockets via ClickBank. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished. Catch the full story on how we got outstanding upward trends by reading our full article.

Complaints about Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Recently I have been getting phone calls and you know I answer my phone! About people not being able to see their ad on the three top search engines. This process is outlined on our site. It clearly states, up to 14 days before your ad is indexed. Having said that! I guess that’s not good enough? So here’s what I’m going to do. We just alleviate every webpage in our system, thousands! Now we are going to send a link to the posters e-mail accounts on file which will allow them to click and go rate to the exact page to see their ad. Because I was forced into this I thought of a new way to make money. I’m also going to send that same link to “ standard free ads “ posters e-mail addresses. I’m going to do this because they will click the link and we will say, after they see it live on the Internet of course! “ Join or we will take this down “ little take away action! We’ll see how that roles! The truth is for $30 investment, these people are getting about $2000 worth of product.

Multilayer marketing with ClICKBANK! So if you’ve been to our site www.thebartertown.net you know already that it is very unique in many different ways. It provides a free service or you can upgrade to our 2.0 product ( standard plus ) which gives you one year membership which includes unlimited ads. Good deal since sites like ooodle.com charge $50 per month for the same service. There is nothing like our site on the Internet. Very passively our site shows you two previews. One “ standard +2.0 “ preview and one “ standard” free preview. We show you all the good stuff what you’re getting first. this is five dollars for a single ad or $30 for unlimited ads. If you decline, you see the standard ad preview which shows you everything you lose by not paying. So I should go forward then if you choose free ads it brings you to a page that says “ your ad is being published “ this page also asked if you would like to make $465? If you choose yes this site then asks you to join again for a $30 investment. Do you see what I just did? I asked them the same question but in a different way. If they did not see the value in our top-of-the-line product, they may see the value with income opportunity. Moving forward if they do not bite on anything then they post a free ad, I instruct them to go to their inbox and follow the instructions. I do this to get more opportunity to make money. They go to their inbox and ours multiple buttons there asking them multiple questions. Every answer to those questions for instance “ change my ad or alter my ad “ leads them back to joining for $30. Now with our new system the last “ crack “ will be when we send those free ad posters a link to their customized webpage, live on the web. Once they view it we will say “ join or we will take it down “ another take away! We’ll see how this roles!

Trying to get over this flu! My phone is ringing off the hook and I just can’t talk , thank God I implemented a support ticket process. www.thebartertown.net/support/ Anyway, very happy with the way WWW.THEBARTERTOWN.NET his performing. All the changes that we have made have been from ideas and opinions of our posters. We have made multiple changes for instance, added a real estate rental section, added lost and found section and also vacation rentals. This was all by request.

Concerns; we removed the e-mail requirement on the search side of the site. We figured if we were to do this there would be multiple benefits like more searches and less anxiety about giving your e-mail address. I know I have a special e-mail address that I use if I think I will receive mail from a site I am on. I know you have one to! Unfortunately we have not seen a rise in searches? That is odd, let’s let it ride.
